    Samsung QN65Q6DRA issue

Yes I see the 75q6 post but this problem is slightly different and a 65

Plug in TV and Samsung QLED logo shows up then backlight stays on and no picture. I also do not have sound that I can see. When I hit volume up and down the led responds on the TV and flashes. I decided to solder jumper for 1/3 and did half ribbon. The same thing occurs I get half the screen for Samsung QLED logo and then no picture. This happens on both sides. Neither side shows a defect (at least in the middle of screen). The power board was tested and it's fine all voltages correct.

Any advices on this? I'm getting the feeling I may be lucky and it's a main board issue but is there a test I can do to verify this possibly?

by U ribbon test if you get clean white on the rest of screen , go head to download this new firmware of 2024 Feb and flash it via USB

So I get the QLED on plug in still while doing 3/4 ribbon.

So I don't get a "white screen" I get a screen that appears off with a backlight background.

Also, do I just plug the USB in the TV and plug it in to work?

Automatic updates will never work on Samsung.

@HardBone LOL ..you will have the white on rest at time the logo of Samsung appears. this should happen at 2 time when the U ribbon disconnected from aside one a time.
unzip and copy folder and the flag file on Fat32.stick... read at Samsung how to force update at startup from USB.

Yes, if this flag is present in the firmware file (SWU_AUTO_FLAG) 1

                  2016 TV and above models : SWU_AUTO_FLAG
This file is supporting automatic USB upgrade for the purpose of easy USB upgrade.
                  1. Store it in root folder of the USB storage.
※ It should be in root directory of USB storage.
                  2. Insert USB storage which contains upgradable image as well as
                  the above mentioned flag file.
                  3. Reboot the TV
                  4. USB upgrade will be started automatically after 3 ~ 5 mins.

                      parts are correct..

flag file on root correct...this will guide the SoC to let eMMC read from USB..... then eMMC will read the folder T-MSMAKUC as its signature name for this model , under this there are image folder which it contain the info.txt which it had the keys which make eMMC satisfied to open for read write ... so its with TIZEN linux

I like that name, its actually fitting. And if I was rich I wouldn't be fixing no tvs. But I do got the file unzipping and doing the instructions here from lotas.

So I unzipped into Root of fat32 USB, I have used this USB many times it's 4gb and installed firmware with it before

The auto flag was automatically outside the folder and that was it. I didn't move anything else. It was auto flag and the folder.

I plugged it into TV and plugged in. Nothing, I waited 10-15 min. I then turned off the TV and back on (not unplugging but with button) and waited 15 min. Nothing again.

When you say reboot TV did I do what you mean? lotas

Unpack the firmware onto the flash drive. As a result, there should be a folder "T-KTSUDEUC" (the name is not exact) and next to the file SWU_AUTO_FLAG. There is another subfolder image in the folder, it contains the file info.txt and upgrade.msd. If so, turn off the TV. Reboot the TV (hold the power button on the remote for more than 5 seconds or so). It will reboot, the Samsung logo will appear and after 3-5 minutes it should automatically start updating.

Okay will report back probably tonight. I did not hold the power button as such but all other directions followed.

This may have worked for an upgrade firmware but nothing has occured on the TV. I followed instructions using the power button hold to reboot which worked. I still get start-up QLED and then screen turns off, backlights remains on. I waited a good 20-30 min and tried one more time waiting the same amount. No dice.

Update** I left the TV sitting and forgot it was on and eventually a Samsung logo is appearing bouncing around the whole tv screen, like the old direct tv logo. I watched it go across the whole screen back and forth and everything looks good. Seems like the main board is the issue here somehow? Anyone able to confirm this from experience? Kind of funny they the logo works but nothing else.

can you put it in STBY ? if yes do it and call service menu from STBY.... if you cant to switch it into STBY then try dump the spi and let lotas check it if there lost, other wise need to check HW starting from DC to DC circuit on MB if there eMMC RAM required V exist

It may be that the user partition in emmc is damaged and the TV cannot boot further, or emmc itself may be damaged....
