Re: Sony Bravia KDL-46EX640 no power
looks like u got the right panel number, i think the model names does not matter since the panel is right. looking at the service menu i can see at least one setting that conflicts with yours. match it according to the manual. but honestly i think one of your cables to the t-con / mainboard might not be in properly. doesnt to clean and reconnectAttached FilesLeave a comment:

Re: Sony Bravia KDL-46EX640 no power
I have a 52ex703 and for the life me could not figure out how to change the model version. Im 100% certain it is possible on my tv as its the exact same board for 7 different size models and even the service manual states change to your panel type but does not show you how which I find very sneaky! somone must know how to do it or get into the hidden menu like on samsung tv'sLeave a comment:

I think my plan is bad. Sony website states you cannot revert to previous firmware version.Leave a comment:

Re: Sony Bravia KDL-46EX640 no power
Well, I again visually checked the original mainboard and the one that I bought (it displays 55" not 46" in its current firmware version). Comparing the two visually I could say it is all same ie components, etc.
My plan is since the mainboard I bought gave life to the TV except it is showing greenish display and I also bought a T-Con board and result is still the same. So, this mainboard I bought displays 55" instead of 46" in its firmware, is it OK if I flash it with a lower 46" firmware and then flash it with the latest 46" firmware?
The firmware version of the mainboard that I bought is current but I cant reflash it again since it will display the version is current and no option to reflash except cancel option.
Any suggestions? Please?Leave a comment:

I'm the other way around, I have a 46" board and 55" TV. Shopjimmy states, that it should be compatible.Leave a comment:

That can cause problems, Sony TVs are notoriously picky about the panel size requirement. You need to use 46" board.Leave a comment:

by PopsCapsI have a Sony Bravia KDL-40V2500 that will not power on. The indicator flashes red 3 times.
I do not hear any sound and I cannot see any backlight.
I have tried disconnecting every cable on each board one at a time to see if anything changes.
The only change is when I disconnect AC-DET cable on the Power Supply board or on the other end if I unplug the CN7009 connection on the B-Board and try to power on the TV the indicator will stay on solid green until I power off.
My friend ordered another used power supply board but it is also doing the red indicator flash 3 times... -
Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by PantherDaveHi all!
I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅
I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

by repair-itSONY XR-77A80J shuts off as soon as it is powered on. It goes into standby ok when plugged in but when power button is pressed, relay clicks and tv powers off. Power supply board makes a sound that sounds like momentary coil whine when it clicks off. The main board appears to turn on and has working optical.
I pulled the power supply board for visual inspection & there wasn't anything obvious. I am not sure how to go about testing this OLED as it is a bit different than the last one (LG) I tried to repair. The only voltage listed on the PSU is 12v for T-CON. The 12v is not present... - Loading...
