Hey friends!
I got this 37" Westinghouse for 5.00 out of the recycle pile at the local VV today.
I got it home and plugged it and and it fired right up, I plugged in my HDMI bluray player and watched Avatar from start to finish on it. Was working great, had a great picture, sound ect.
After the movie I decided to go into the menu I hit the menu button and it brought up the menu and then BAM the backlight went off but the audio was still going.
I couldn't turn it off as it seems the buttons were locked out. I unplugged it and it came back on with a solid blue screen, again I couldn't turn it off via the button. After a few more times I finally got it to turn back on and show a picture but no audio and the buttons were not responding and now its just stuck doing the W logo or a blue screen.
I searched here and didn't find much on this unit but could this be a bad mainboard or a corrupt firmware? I couldn't find any firmware updates for this unit.
I can take it apart and get photos of the boards, these are a pain! lots to remove
Sorry not much to go on here, I will try to tear into it tonight.
Was crazy it was working great I was really impressed by it as I had it next to a 40" Sammy and it looked more natural.
Thanks for reading
