Sharp AQUOS LC-60LE640U - Very dim picture, help?

I've exhausted almost all resources trying to fix this tv, maybe you guys can help. When I turn on the tv, it looks normal, no flashing power light or anything. When you turn off all the lights and shine a flashlight at it, you can see an image but it's EXTREMELY dim.

From the research I've done I thought I had it narrowed down to the led driver. I replaced the power supply, which is where the led driver is located (from what I've found online). Nothing, still the exact same problem.

I've emailed the tech support at shopjimmy, who told me that they also thought the problem would be the power supply/led driver. The tech support then said eliminate the problem and replace the main board. From everything I've seen, it doesn't seem like the main board would be causing this issue and just end up costing more money.

I don't know if it's worth adding but the....computer chip on the main board has a green light next to it which blinks when the tv is turned on, I don't know if that's at all relevant.

Any ideas? Thank you for your time.

Since this is going to be required, take a photo of the entire back of the panel exposed so the insides can be seen, also take a photo of each board if possible.

Sounds like a bad inverter board but it could be low voltage from the power supply too, Do you have a digital voltmeter?

      Sorry, I'm on mobile.

Here's a video I took when I was talking to shop jimmy.

I do have a digital voltmeter. I can take pictures of each board when I get off work in an hour. Thanks for the fast reply. As far as I understood since this is an led tv it doesn't have an inverter board?

The only reason I could see them saying the main board is some tv's main board sends the signal to turn the back light on.

Well, I guess I could send back the power supply since that wasn't the issue and order a main board.

It could be a bad LED strip in the panel. I have a LC-60LE632U LED at home that looks very similar from the back. Mine has a crack on one side of the screen but still shows a good picture on the undamaged part. Post part numbers for your boards and I'll see if I can dig that one out and pull some voltages for you to compare.

On mobile again. I went ahead and just ordered a main board and returned the power supply from the same company. I'll see if that works and update. This is my main board part number - QPWBXF733WJN2.

So, I believe I've narrowed it down to the actual LED light strips. It just can't be anything else. I ended up taking it to a TV repair shop and he agreed. I haven't dismantled it that far yet but after a few searches for the LED strips I haven't been able to come up with any online. Can somebody point me in the right direction?

Well, if anybody is still following this I got the LED strips out. The part number is GA0361TPZZ. It's a whole combined heat sink/LED strip.

Sharp Aquos Lc-80LE757U flashing Sharp on screen when plugged in
                            by sefoster
I have a Sharp Aquos LC-80LE757U that randomly made a loud popping noise when when watching TV one day. We found that the fuse blew and the thermistor. We ended up replacing the entire power supply board and have also replaced the TCON board. Now as soon as I plug the TV in it lights up and has the Sharp logo flashing on and off of the screen. If I unplug the ribbon cable from the TCON board to the main board I get the 2 long 5 short error code. Any ideas on where to go from here? We've tried resetting it but nothing has worked. If we plug it in and let it cycle through the flashing of the Sharp...

Sharp Aquos LC-40UG7252E LCD TV burn in?
                            by jonah1024
                            Hello!

I'm a few days old into this TV screens repair universe so please bear with me.

Recently, and all of a sudden my 40” 4K Sharp Aquos LCD TV turned on with colors all smudged in some places on the screen that remain like that even without any kind of video source. I do have image but the colors are smudged/tinted/ washed out in patches as per defects. This to me looks similar to burn in but I’m shore this is not an OLED.

                            - I did the classic unplug and hold power button to discharge the caps but it didn't help.
                            - I did a factory reset as well...

Hello, this is my first post and im just a beginner, so be easy on me guy. thanks

i have a LED chandeilier that switches colors from white to cool white to warm when toggling the switch, it has 24 LED arms, each arm is 30 CM length.

i have no datasheet at all for the LED lights, all i have is its length.

long story short, testing the chandelier on the ground, and it works fine for 1 - 2 - 6 hours, no problem.

as soon as i fix the chandelier to the ceiling and bury the driver inside the hub,...

T-con suspect issue. Both ribbon cables no picture. One ribbon cable ok. (58pus8545)

Hi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.

The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.

                            Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.

                            First replacement T-con:

I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)...

                            by JJAAMM
This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

                            Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...
