Could you please elaborate on this, I would love to know this piece of information/s :P Is it the timer pin?...

  • Re: TCON compatibality BN41-00877A 943NW with 2043NWX board BN91-01890T

I do realized. I got the same logic board as the threadstarter and the display seems to be dead (because it has no standby led at the front) but the voltages inside is stable and complete. The problem lies within the main logic controller chip that was unable to execute the program coming from the eeprom chip.

I just answered his open question regardless of how old he posted this.

My apology if I broke a rule.

why not swap that logic board outright, chances are it should work as long as you have the right size of the screen panel from which you took the logic board. as far as I know, it is programmed to fit the size, so if it's wide then the screen where did you took the logic board should be wide too..

just check the pinouts on the left connector has the same pin output too..

my guess the cause was the logic chip on that board that failed to process the analog signal properly.

  • Re: A guide on how to troubleshoot 2 seconds to black

Bad screen panel can cause 2 seconds to black. This time the behaviour is different. That is why, I am confused at first.

The loop is, 2 seconds to black when pushing the power button, i saw some reddish background and the "no signal" box, the LED will stay on for about 3 seconds then the screen flash again in another 2 seconds to black with the "no signal box" again, this time no reddish background. After that it's all black forever but with the LED still on. The LED in this case is blue and...

Is that safe? What if there's a shorted component in the inverter circuit?

  • Re: hp f2105 slow screen

This problem is not yet resolved. Happened on my Chimei too. I'm guessing it is the screen panel buffer chip problem that handles the response timing.

    Any updates please, thanks..

  • Re: Dell e152fpb no back light

I got the same board with the same problem. The 2A fuse blew and I did not know what caused it. After replacing the picofuse, I still got no picture and green led of Power switch still on a steady mode. I inspected the circuit and as was I expected, it has many cold solders and I even found some on the legs of xsistors on the soft start section that made me guess that made the trick...

Monitor is up and running now and I logged in to say thanks for this thread and commentors for leading me on to the right path.

    Thanks,...

  • Re: Dell E198FPB with bad caps

    budm you are amazing...

The culprit is the shorted (O ohms) 47uf/50v that is located nearest the pwm IC. It prevented the IC from powering up... Replaced with a spare cap with the same value. Dell 19" is up and running...

Thanks Badcap.net.. what a great site.

  • Re: Dell E198FPB with bad caps

i got the same model and board with No Power, no standby LED.

No irregularities during ocular inspection (no bad caps), upon voltage check I found only voltages around the BIG cap around 250v up to the Drain side of the BIG Mosfet.

Could it be the 1203 8-pin PWM IC that won't start?

I believe it has an internal start-up circuit.

    Help would be much appreciated...

  • Re: Burned IC Identification

    to budm,

I did check the circuit you have mentioned and looks good in my small multimeter. What does the snubber really do? Is it some kind of a barrier or more of a "shock absorber" ? The term snubber sounds "someone who ignores".. am I right?

  • Re: Burned IC Identification

    Hello there, just an update...

I bought the IC (DM0365R) from our local electronic shop, luckily they have one available and sells one for about 80 pesos. Prior to this, I picked up the unit from the province and managed to get it home so that I could focus.

Desoldered the burned IC and replace it with a new one, also replaced the blown main fuse (3.15A) and checked the whole power board but not thoroughly. Mostly continuity and resistance reading from the Mains to Inverter path.

I did not find any discrepancies...

    Amazing..

This one's a killer, it enlarges a bit and shows "0365" on top of the IC which is better even when the colors are inverted. Those digits were enough to complete the search.

I'm sure I've been passed through all this pages but I'm surely did missed this one :P

Special thanks goes to selldoor for bringing up the links that actually solve this.

I'm going to our local electronics store to see if this available and I'm going to replace that burned IC and check...

Yes, it is a reference picture. This board matches exactly with the one that got burned.

hi.. It was badly burned (u101), I don't have the actual board, i left it in the province where I do home servicing and I don't have a digicam with me..
