    Philips 40pfl4707/f7 problems

Got this TV that was supposed to be inop. Got it home and plugged it in and worked great except for front panel LED and would not work with a remote. Decided to replace IR sensor board to see if it would help and also removed main and power board just to inspect. Now it will not power up and no back lights which I was getting while on workbench while trying to program remote.

Got this TV and another RCA 26" with DVD for $60 bucks. Got the 26" working with a tab bond repair and use it in the garage. Can't figure out what is going on with the Philips. The guy I got it from said he had replaced power board.

Looking for service manual or pin voltages or any other info to try and figure this out. Thanks

Think I have found problem. Does anyone know where I can get ribbon cable, awm 20624 80c 60v, 9 pin, 18 inches long? Ebay shows some 10 pin that maybe I could cut but has to come from China. Takes 30 days.

I believe it is broken. It runs from main board to IR board and have voltage readings at main connector but not on the other side of ribbon. The original cable was folded over in four places and I think it has broken at one of the folds.

Got my used ribbon cable I found on ebay and it fixed my problem. I now have the led power lamp working and remote programed. Thank goodness for used parts. I figure I have about $55 invested in the TV. Not bad for a 2012 40" and the picture is great.

thats the first i heard of someone ruining the ribbon cable going to the ir sensor on a tv not that it hasn't ever happened before...now on laptops i have seen quite a few. nice find and thanks for the info. did the connectors on the end get crumbled up from the connector not being opened up all the way?

No.. the ends looked great. Just one of those weird things you wouldn't expect. I overlooked it thinking it was power board or main board and spent too much time messing with them. You just never know.

              Philips 32PFL3008H/12 Remote doesnt work
              by SemDex
              Hello guys,

First post here so sorry if ill do any mistakes..

Got TV for repair, Philips 32PFL3008H/12, Main board VESTEL 17MB95S-1 170912. TV turns on, has image and everything, but there is no response to remote controll. Checked IR receiver - it gave no signal at all. Replaced IR receiver with no luck, still no response to remote, but i got proper waveform when any button is pressed. so far i tried ruling out software - flashed EEPROM / BIOS / NAND, no luck. At this point, when turned on, TV displays message "SHOP MODE", message closes, tv works as intended....

Philips 47PFL5028K/12 - Remote Control repair help
              by kalauzz
              Hello,
my remote control for my beloved TV (Philips 47PFL5028K/12) is no more working.
Codes of the remote should be :
              PHILIPS 996590004895, YKF314-005

It's blinking endlessy when I insert AAA batteries.
Checked cap seems ok, the transistor (i think is that) seems good
              IC not checked.
I thought also to a stuck key.

I switched cap and seemed to be ok but it restarted blinking endlessy again..

May the IC fail if battery polarity is inverted? because my son told me he did that ...

              The schematics...

DeLonghi AC Remote only accepts 3V
              by cstout
Hello all, I've been looking into this portable air conditioner's remote control and can't find what could be causing the problem - or possibly this remote is just terribly designed.

The remote only works at exactly 3V - if I drop it any lower, using my bench power supply, to say, 2.9V then the remote will not flash the display and turn off. I don't have any AAA batteries that are exactly 1.5V each so I'm not sure if this remote is designed this way - to only use the freshest possible batteries, or if there's a failed component in the mix.

              I can't find any schematics...

Toshiba 50lf711u20 fire tv remote not pairing
              by Mc_Millian
              Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could help my in pairing a remote with a Toshiba fire tv?
The Tv model number is: 50lf711u20 Rev B.

I've already replaced all the the circuit boards within the tv along with the I.R. sensor receiver.

I've tried 3 different remotes which should be fully compatible with this TV.

Oddly enough. A few if the buttons on all of the remotes actually work. Even without pairing...which makes no sense.

The power button, along with the volume, back, select, and directional...

Philips 50PUS6262/12 (chassis TMP17.7E LA) no picture
              by HP32Sii
This is my first post on this forum, and my first attempted repair of a modern flat-screen LCD-TV (though I have repaired a few LCD-monitors, all with Elco-problems (high ESR). I have repaired my fair share of TV-sets and VCRs in the past ('90s) and was fairly familiar with the different Philips chassis (KT-3M, K12, K2, K3, K7 are some that come to mind). So I have a fair bit of experience on old sets. Obviously, modern TV sets are quite a different cup of tea.... no HOT or flyback-transformer inside, for starters....

The set came into my possession by accident,...
