    Panasonic TH-42PZ81 - 10 Blink / Flash

    Hi All

Got a TH-42PZ81 been on the look for a while but never had one

Looking at lots of other posts it does look like the TEA1611T on 201 and 301

However i would like to triple check

Is there any indicators that this is the "normal" 10 blink error ?

Also where is the best place for the bits ?

Give that area a blast of freeze spray - normally it'll kick it into life for about 10 minutes or until you turn it off.
Sometimes it is the IC, but most times, it's only the adjacent capacitor.

Poundland sell such cans for £1 each for 200ml, works great, much cheaper than eBay.

Just did my PZ800 for 2 blink. Replaced the tiny ceramic cap and came good straight away.

                Re: Panasonic TH-42PZ81 - 10 Blink / Flash

iv got my compressed air but i cant get it to come on

iv followed the video and mine dosnt have the 10 flash until iv pushed the power button

then the tv does 2 quick clicks and then a pause 2 - 3seconds then the 3rd click and then flashes 10 times

the tv is really really dusty so im going to clean up and re-seat all connectors

while im doing that can you guys suggest what i can check next ?

It's more likely you have a 10 blinks after power button fault then, this is possibly main board related. You should check all the power supplies on the main board such as the SUB5V and SUB9V. Also check if Vsus rises briefly.

None of my 10 blinkers ever fired up the fans. If the sustain LEDs are lit up (SC/SS) I'd suspect a bad mainboard. I guess you had a bad one originally and your replacement isn't working right. Of course check all connectors etc are fully seated. Try checking the 1.2V & 1.8V supplies for the CPU, if they are missing, you will get this effect, which will confirm bad main board.

All those are debugging/factory use sockets, that's fine.

Two clicks should be very quickly followed by a third click for a SOS10 on PSU. However if you have an SOS10 due to main board that might not occur. Note when the TV is working you should only hear two clicks. All my PZ80s do this. I've a 46PZ82 I'm working on right now, can do a few brief checks if you like.

Do you have the schematic for the A board, I will highlight them.

You will get an input indicator in top left corner, but otherwise blank until you press a button like the menu button.

Full picture of the A board and I'll take a stab at guessing location, could be wrong but worth a shot. Can't find any manual for PZ81. The main board is different because of Freesat support, but all other boards are more or less identical.

I recently got my hands on a 60" Panasonic P60ZT60 plasma tv (european model) that has some strange issues along with an 8 blink code.
It know this tv is getting old but it was once considered one of the best plasmas ever made, and i think it is still holds on to that even by todays standards.

So, long story short. When i first got the tv it had a very bright washed out picture with very raised blacks in all picture modes and i couldn't find the cause in the picture setting menus.
After doing a factory reset this problem was gone and the picture was back to...

                                          Hi everyone,

I'm new here and trying to repair my Panasonic TX-P50V10E plasma TV, which is currently showing the 6 red blink error code.

Just for context: I'm used to building PCs and installing modchips in old consoles, but this is my first time trying to fix a TV. I'm French, and while my English is okay, I'm using ChatGPT to help translate and clarify my messages as much as possible — so please forgive any odd phrasing.

I'm also not very experienced with using a multimeter, but I'm very motivated and ready to follow instructions carefully and report...

                                          Hi all,
I’m trying to recover a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7-14ARE05 with board DA0LS3MBAF0 Rev:F. I’ve run into an unusual issue where USB-C PD is stuck at 4.7–5V and the system won’t boot (keyboard lights flash briefly, then nothing).
🔥 The Problem Started After Suspected ESD/PD Fault
I experienced a power issue or ESD event through a USB-C charger
After that, the NX20P5090 power switch was visibly burned and was replaced
Now the PD controller always negotiates 5V @ 2A, even with known-good chargers

Nikon D800 camera - flash don’t work and capacitor don’t charge

                                          Hello, I'm stuck in troubleshooting…
The flash system works like that : when the (mechanic) flash button is pressed, the flash mecanically pop up, and a circuit buck boost elevate 7v (batt) to 200-300v (?) for charging the big capacitor. And when the photo shoot button is pressed, the capacitor is discharged in the xeon light.

In the D800, there is a first « power board » close to the battery. 2 wires (batt 7v) goes to another little « flash board ». I measured 7v, so ok.
When I press the flash button, it's detected by the system, flash icon appear on LDC display....

I usually try to figure these things out on my own but am asking for help now as I have been beating my head against a wall.

Backstory, I initially ended up with a CF20 Mk2 with a locked BIOS. I used aptio to read the BIOS and made the adjustments to the .rom file and attempted to write it back with aptio before reading other users problems with that setup. Well it bricked the BIOS go figure. Computer no longer boots, black screen. I found a clean BIOS on this forum but now I am having ME issues. So I would rather hand over the aptio dump(pre BIOS brick) and a hardware reader dump(post...
