LG 42LB5D - No Picture, has sound and backlight, bad caps found

I have an LG 42LB5D that has no picture but has sound and has backlights. I opened it up and found many bad caps on the power board. A lot of them were puffed at the top, I replaced all of those with new ones, and changed out the other similar caps as well. The set still didn't work so I went back and swapped out the remaining ones in that area.

I did not test or touch the two biggest capacitors on the board.
I left 2 smaller remaining caps that I tested as good with a capacitance and ESR meter.

Not sure where to go next, any suggestions?

(Note: the green caps where the old ones)

If your not getting a picture but back lights work I would look at the t con board. Check the fuse on it first and make sure that's good.

wow, thanks audiofreak! The fuse on the t-con board is bad!

      It's a 2.5A fuse.
I don't have any of those around but i just tried putting a 2A fuse on it but that blew right away. I dont think I should dare put a 3A on it?

So i wonder what would be causing it to blow in the first place???

So i've replaced the fuse with another 2.5A 125V just like it is suppose to have and that blew right away.

As seen on another thread someone said to try unplugging the ribbon cables and test if it still blows, i popped in a new fuse and tried that and the fuse did not blow!
any suggestions as where to go next?

Heres a pic of my t con board. the ribbons are unplugged and i've added some wires to the old fuse to hook test fuses to.

Un70TU7000b Backlights work, no picture, has sound, panel shorted caps
          by EazyBone
Picked up this Samsung above thinking it'd be backlights but it isn't. Now MAYBE I'll get lucky.
Found some shorted caps among the panel boards. Each cap along the line is shorted. On every board (3 panel driver boards)I disconnect each side right and left ribbons and they are no longer shorted caps and have about 1.5Mohm resistance (on left and right boards). The middle board has the main board disconnected and the caps are shorted. Last 4 pics show arrow to caps.

Now what exactly do I need to do in order to attempt to fix this issue?

do I have to take each one...

Samsung TV model UE50TU: rebooting, backlight, sound, but no picture
          by TR103
          Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
          - sound and backlight, but no picture
          - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
          - it keeps rebooting
          - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
          - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
          - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

          - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
          by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and

Samsung UE60KU6079 backlight okay mainboard responsive, no picture, no sound
          by Ierwin
          Hello everyone,
Ive got a UE60KU6079 on the workbench that is giving me some headaches trying to troubleshoot.
The previous owner stated that there had been white dots on the screen which from the description sounded like some lenses fell of the backlight LEDs.
He had opened the TV from the back, trying to get to the backlight, supposedly gave up, reassebled everything and gave the TV to me.
I expected the worst like ripped COF cables or a cracked panel but could not find anything like that yet.
Anyway I still fully expect that there has been something seriously damaged...

Samsung UN70NU6900F no picture and no sound
          by jchang
          Hi all

I was just given a Samsung TV with the issue. I read various threads and videos and attempted the ribbon tape method to gain an image, but no luck.

          Symptom:
          No picture no sound.
When I plug in the power cord, Backlight LED turns on for a half second and then turns off. The red LED next to the power button located center bottom flashes 2 or 3 times. When the power button is pressed after, it does the same thing.
          No sound at all.

          What I tried:
          1. I tried unplugging the left or right ribbon...
