Whoops-Shorted out SMPS by accidental probe slip

    So, Title says it all.

I got a free TV today, Element ELCFW328. Worked fine for about 10 minutes and would shut down to completely back to standby and would then, turn back on with no issues until about 10 minutes later.

Went to checking some voltages on the connectors and I believe my probe touched the standby and 12v.

No, no standby voltages but the other voltages seem okay.

Tested Diodes and D16 on the cold side is really the only one that wasn't right in circuit so took it out and it's reading 0.201v in Diode Mode.

    This is the board

I viewed the pic but could not see where the damage was. List the make and model of set and part # of the power supply and a close up of the damaged parts

Hi I know this post is old, but I am trying to fix the exact same PS, and comparing your board to mine, the part labeled "T1F" on your board looks completely melted. Don't know if that helps or if you even care anymore, but thought I'd give my 2 cents worth.
