Hi folks, newbie here. My intention on a working monitor was to test for voltages on the various pins. Somewhere near the ribbon to the monitor, there we 2 caps. One was reading around 5V and the other was maybe about 12 or 14V . Cant really recall. Then it happened. The multimeter kissed the 5v cap and the other cap. Spark appeared. NOW... the part where the spark happened ( Caps near the Last ribbon cable ) is now totally white. 1/6 part of the screen is white. From my little understanding , i came to learn that there are transistors inside the TFT panel. Could that be a issue then? I have removed the caps and still see a short on the pads.
