    Sanyo DP42746

    Reference image: http://i.imgur.com/DhyE8tH.jpg

I've been trying to get this TV working for some time now. I replaced the Y buffers and I repaired all of the bad capacitors. I went through and checked all the solder points and cleaned the boards.

Last time I messed with it, the PSU would turn on and then click twice and turn off. I got it to the point where now the error LED just blinks 12 times to indicate a DC12v error. However, it only occurs when I have the white ribbon cable plugged in (marked with red X in the photo).

If I remove the ribbon the error LED stays lit, no blinking and I can hear the speakers come on (I haven't tried audio yet, I can just hear them being ON).

Where can I go from here? I'm not sure if it's the main board, the PSU or the y-sustain. Again, it only occurs when the white ribbon connected from the y-sustain to the main board is plugged in.

    Thanks.

      xps 9520 ribbon cable
      by zesko
      Hello,
I have a XPS 9520 with broken daughter board and missing ribbon cable. I can fix the board by replacing the connector, but I can't find the correct ribbon.

There is 2 models, idk which one is needed on my laptop.

      0xkvng
      00vpr2

Daughter board is LS H822P. When I check for a palmrest, the board attached to have a 0xkvng ribbon. But when I check for LS h822p, it's 00vpr2 ribbon...

Someone can help me with that please ? Idk the difference between these 2 ribbon but they definitely doesn't look the same..

      thanks...

T-con suspect issue. Both ribbon cables no picture. One ribbon cable ok. (58pus8545)
      by Tr0ll
Hi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.

The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.

      Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.

      First replacement T-con:

I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)...

      Quick question about the ribbon
      by Rubenlily
      Hey,

So I have horizontal lines on my TV and I'm trying to trouble shoot. My question about the ribbon is:

When I disconnect one ribbon from the t-con I should get half picture working and other half black or something like that correct? But when I disconnect the ribbon on one side I just get a dark screen and it doesn't matter what side I disconnect. I just get the dark screen. No half working, no one half black and the other one left. Sound is playing from the TV so it's obviously on and when both sides are connected I have the picture with the horizontal lines...

UN70NU6900FXZA Won't Boot Unless I Temporarily Disconnect Right LVDS Ribbon
      by Scincidae
I recently was given a UN70NU6900FXZA that would only boot loop once plugged in (auto powers on when plugged in). I found that disconnecting the lower (right side) LVDS ribbon, then plugging the TV in, followed by reconnecting the lower LVDS ribbon will allow the TV to work 100% normal as far as I can tell (no lines, no discoloration, no dimming or anything like that).

I tried the tape method on the lower LVDS ribbon and found that if I cover pins 10 and 11 (counting from the bottom up) allows the TV to boot normal but 25% screen all the way to the right side is discolored. While...

Mystery 80s Sanyo cap - perhaps polymer?
      by cj_reha
Hey all I've been working on a 1984 Sanyo 27" color TV which had a smattering of bad caps in the video switching circuit. I found this oddball little 1uF 25V cap which looks to me like an early polymer, but I can't find concrete info proving it. I know Sanyo was a big player in early polymer cap development and this is the time period where they were just getting on the market, so I'm wondering if anyone has crusty old datasheets that could help identify it and determine if my suspicions are right? It has the same epoxy end seal and font/formatting as some old stock Os-Cons I've got laying...
