well he said my buffer was gone and fault on zsus so he gave me a working one from cracked screen that he tested same with zsus said was tested and working from cracked screen tv now he saying i would have to pay for a new buffer to be fitted grrrr

Well if he just gave you the board I doubt there's much you can argue. Can't you fit a board yourself? It takes maybe 10 minutes maximum. They are rare failures on this particular model, I believe

no when i say he gave me board i mean i paid for them all to be checked and fixed but he sent bk boards from a cracked screen tv so i gues theres not much i can do apart from buy some new ic chips

is it bottom 2 pins on top buffer that r ground to test what ic has gone

            As here:

use P114 as your reference ground (Y-SUS VFG OUT.)

Did you pull the heatsinks off?

Pg 67 on has pinout and measurement results.

yer i took them off so if i put black lead to one of the pins on 214 i get beeps and looks like 3 buffers have gone ? then on bottom buffer 2 buffers gone

When you say a "buffer" has gone, please indicate exactly what you mean. Do you mean you get 3 beeps? Around one IC or multiple ICs? It's quite likely only one is bad.

ok so i put lead on pin ref p144 any pin then run other lead down side where panel ribbons plug in and i get long beep on bottom of p101 then top and bottom of p102 hope you get what i mean my meter only has beep on its own or diode on its on

                      Re: lg ps3000

OK yep so that's first IC from bottom on the top buffer blown.
Any chance you have your old board? If so, test it too.

If you find the same IC to be blown there's a chance the panel is killing it or a ribbon is touching frame, so I would check these first. For panel, look at it carefully with torch. You are looking for any pixels that, when off, look a little burnt or black vs the normal dark grey.

If it's a different IC then it cannot be the panel, just a random board failure or worn out IC from previously cracked panel.

ok so if i done that right that means some of bottom buffers gone aswell ? i also get beep on the bottom buffer

It seems unlikely, if you get -Vy and Vsc with bottom one installed. possible but unlikely.

When you get a beep, make sure to hold the reading there and check again to check it is not an erroneous reading.

i still think its cos he sent me boards from cracked screen can i can ysus with both buffers out of the tv ?

You won't get anything on the panel with both buffers removed.
It's really weird for many chips to fail at once suddenly, which is why I doubt your readings.
I'd expect one IC maybe two at most if they are nearby to each other.
It's possible Y-sus has issue killing the buffer ICs but I'm not aware of any such issue on these.

They are essentially the same as the one I did in that video.

One of the essential things is your meter must have a very fast beep response. If you see in my video I can basically run it along the faulty connections and it beeps instantly. If your meter does not do that, you will need to slow down your testing.
