Sony kdl-46ex723 screen problem

Hello Everyone!

I thick white band has appeared on my KDL-46EX723 you can still see the picture behind it it's like a band of light, I'd post a picture if I know to lol, Really hoping the panel isn't dead/dying but I'm bracing myself for the bad news.

Any help/advice would be truly appreciated.

Does the bar move at all or is it completely stationary?

The bar is stationary, wish it would move of the screen lol

Its possible the panel is faulty--or the tabs that connect it to the board.

Also, the T-Con board could conceivably cause this sort of fault...

I've just changed the tabs around still the same problem, is there a way to test the T-Con without having to buy a replacement?
