These fire tvs are way too dependent on being online, what if someone just wanted to hook up an antenna and watch over the air non-compressed programs like the person in the LG thread, is it even possible without being online? I hate always having to fiddle around with something just to look at the news or whatever, I keep it simple. Adjust the tv to be dumb and use a smart streamer, from what I understand it doesn't wear out the eMMC chip as fast either.

you still have 5V USB VCC and first power _On in tact ... firmware flashing are the answer always no HW issue at my eyes.
That sounds very likely, probably why it refuses to reset.

I am not convinced the panel is dead. I think it is that main board that's faulty.

you have on MB the socket PW1 which i think its the key of supplying panel V. LVDS both had no sign of Panel V rail.

filter coil you thing it shorted from Photo its sitting on GND.

so let see the whole back of the set to follow Panel rail .

Weird tv, who do you get help from, amazon since it's their os or tcl? amazon has a chat feature, not sure about tcl. Whenever I use a chat feature I do my damndest to keep them talking til it's fixed, if they act like they want to give up, I say I need this fixed boost me up the ladder. Sometimes you have to try the resets several times, maybe try turn tv on for a minute then just unplug it from power, then hold power button on tv while plugging in hold button til you see screen come on then let go, go for a minute, no joy, try less maybe just a 10 count or 15 then let go, play with the times like that. I can't really see any reason why this tv won't reset. Always hated fire devices because EVERY single time you turn it on it checks for updates and forces them, no choice in the matter, that's why I only bothered with one original fire tv box and one stick, some friends would buy about every one that came out.

yeah, that I know... it still shows that in the picture as I keep "recycling" it. lol Ignore that ribbon, it sits straight for a while now.

lotas that plug on the bottom right is the speaker left. There is the same plug on the other side for speaker right. I'll see what I can measure at that point you circled tomorrow morn.

You need to find out how the t-con (12v) is powered, where the power is supplied from and whether it is supplied in general...

I just just came back upstairs again and figured that one out, because the diode above it is -10V. So VGL popped right into my mind.
However, I don't have any panel power to speak of. Maybe 1V?

    O.k. Back to topic.
I just effed around with that monkey box. I've got no panel power (even with the LVDS disconnected) and one inductor shorted full to GND. That explains no display of any sort ( lack screen).

I hear that, Seems like nothing works that they've tried so far, It's a damn shame when the countries with dictators seem to be getting more done that Our "democracy"

Are you buying a main board then?
Plan is right now to see if I can fix it with no parts required. Right now I think it is a bad or corrupted flash. Lets see what we can do with that. I can always buy a new main board. If I have to, I will, but I want to exhaust the other options first.

They just rebuilt every library like mostly ground up, every library in the area and now they have another tax up for vote already. They did the same damn thing for the schools. I seldom use the library and haven't used a school in a long long time. Got to turn them down sometimes so we can at least eat, forcryingoutloud small exaggeration for effect but I think we're getting ripped off.
There is a big difference between your Liberals and ours. Ours is far left!
