Insignia NS LCD 47HD-09 another vertical moving lines/grids issue.

Powers up backlights ok. first pic is at startup, second pic is 15 seconds in, third is about a minute in. Menu button brightens screen as does input, vol.chan + -.The patterns and lines grow from l-r-r-l Caps all look good. 24v 12v 5v all good on Psu. Pico fuse on T-con checks good. I do have a voltage drop on one Ic on the T-con, I believe it's the 3v one. Heating/cooling T-con = no change. Just want to see if anyone thinks its tab bond failure before I go any further. Re-seated and cleaned all ribbons and Lvsd cable =no change. Twisting the frame has zero effect as I know this is a Chi Mei panel my hopes are not too high. and I don;t know if there is sound with no Osd to go by. Any advice would be great.

Bump: Anyone? tab bonds? or T-Con? Tearing my hair out on this one. Perhaps I should have given everyone more time but its taking up a lot of my precious workspace . Sorry if I am jumping the gun. My bad.

Check the voltage regulator IC voltages on the main board yet, may be similar to this one:

Ok thanks will check the output on them also. Just now noticed that hardly any parts are available as far as replacement boards so it looks like I have to track down the offending Ic and try to replace. Just has me stumped as it really looks like a T-Con issue. Thanks

I m not 100% sure to the exact cause of the problem but voltage verification will be the first thing to check. Post pictures of the T-CON board so we can see the regulators.

So what should I be testing? This is a different animal to me. I see two regulator IC's I believe but kinda in the dark on procedure. Just need a little guidance. Thanks.

I had a Sony with similar problems. It had A bad cap on the power supply 12V rail. New cap got rid of the ripple, but didn't fix it. Neither did a TCON. It was the main board, probably damaged by the excessive ripple on the 12V line. BTW, if you find one bad cap, replace all on the "cold side" with Panasonic FR, FC, or

Re: Insignia NS LCD 47HD-09 another vertical moving lines/grids issue.

Unplugging ribbon cables from T-con output produces a perfect white screen all the way across no lines at all. I have ordered the PMIC - Voltage Regulators - Linear (LDO) for the T-con(IC REG LDO 3.3V 1.5A SOT223)and( IC REG LDO 2.5V 1.5A TO263-3) as I suspect now more than ever they are bad. Th Ps seems to be outputting correct voltages. Everything but the LDO'S are checking out. Also this board appears to be scarce as far as replacements go (part # CMO 35-D033602) all I can find is the reman- "send us yours we will fix it and send it back" deal and it's the same cost as a replacement board. So I'm going to take my chances with a 10$ regulator replacement and see what happens. There is so much info here that it can be overwhelming but thats a great thing, I have found threads of a completely different set model with the same internal parts that have failed .Everyone has given me lots of insight from many directions and its much appreciated. Now just have to wait a few days for parts to see if I can get this "splinter under my finger nail" Lcd fixed and outa here.

Did not fix this by replacing Ic's. I am at a loss on this one, anyone? have any luck?

                        Screen Display Vertical Multicolor Lines
                        by Stanley1843
Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

I'm not sure what to do next and came here since y'all helped me fix a 50" plasma TV back in 2014, which is still working!

A friend gave me an Insignia NS-50DR620NA18 50" TV that suddenly developed large vertical lines on it. He said he had no idea what might have caused it and has replaced it with a larger TV. He was going to throw it away.

I did not notice any bulged or leaking caps on any board, the voltages produced by the power supply match the voltage that the pins are marked. The backlight leds are working. I have tried cleaning the ribbon cables...

                        Hello,

                        i order a t-con because i had bad colors on my SONY KDL-40V3000 :

With the new t-con the color are good but there are vertical lines on all the screen :

I've tried the old t-con and it returned to the initial issue (bad colors but no vertical lines)

Is there a way to fix the vertical lines on the new t-con ?

                        Thank you for your help

Thanks for offering your assistance with this. I'm an electronics enthusiast with moderate level of competence (have a decent lab with two power supplies, microscope, DSO, hot air, good iron, can competently work at a component level on SMDs, design and solder own PCBs etc). I really enjoying fixing things and learning new stuff so took up a free 58" LED TV and have been googling and watching Youtube videos to see if I can fix this! I am happy to go down to individual component replacement/strip replacement etc - it's all in the name of learning.

The issues are as follows: the...

                        by viking509
I recently replaced the led backlights with LB65041 LED Backlight Strips and after putting it back together the backlights work but there are only colored vertical lines only in the center of the tv. I can see the Netflix logo (jumbled) after a minute or less the screen went dark. When I turned it on again the lines were back. Then I replaced the t-con board but the same vertical lines in the picture. My question is what is my next step? Could it be a source tab bond issue? A buffer board issue? Could I have loosened a connection to the panel when replacing the backlights? Should I replace the...
