Picked up a Sanyo 47 inch for free yesterday plugged it in and the sound comes on and the remote works as far as turning the volume down and changing the inputs but the backlight just strobes on and off. Was thinking maybe the t-con board? any suggestions?

Re: Sanyo dp42647
OK, on the left hand side of the power board you have some connectors for the 24V, etc. What voltage do you get on the pins marked 24V? Multimeter on volts DC (200V/400V if manually ranging), red probe for pins marked 24V, black probe on chassis, and TV powered on with backlight flickering. Observe any noticeable changes in the voltage as it flickers. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!
