    Lg 32lc56-zc.aecvljg

    Hello, hello,
    here we go again.
Life´s Good, suggests the topic. Let´s see how this ends up. I have not taken this black beauty open yet, so can not tell if it contains Vestel or not :p According to Forum Search there is not a topic yet for this model, so i
    thought i´d start one.

Symptoms are: it will not wake up from the stand-by- mode. I guess it has something to do with PSU. As this evening (it´s 0930 hours p.m. in finland) folds into night i´ll start by opening her up and take a look inside. Will post here when something turns up. At meantime, fire away what ever comes in mind!

    best regards

Very viddy well.. It will not enter even the stand-by- mode. I hear faint and random "inverter-like" whining inside the TV. No smoke (yet), no bad smell. I´ll open the cover.

Very common with this model is bad capacitors.

        Re: Lg 32lc56-zc.aecvljg

        Indeed.
At a glance, there are 5 bad capacitors (top is buldging). They are at the low voltage side of the PSU.

Some data extracted from the PSU PCB:

LG IT (Italy, perhaps?) Manufactured 06.12.04 Revision 1.0
        P/N : EAY34795001
        PCB : EAX32268501/8
        LG IT PCB P/N : 2300KEG009A-F PLHL-T602A

        INPUT AC 100V-240V~
        50 / 60Hz. 2.5A

        OUTPUT
        ST-BY 5VDC 2.0A
        ST-BY 3.4VDC 5.5A
        19VDC 1.45A
        12VDC 1.5A
        6.5VDC 3.5A
        P401~P402 980V~/108mA

        MODEL PLHL-T602A

I wonder, why these things won´t ever burn a single fuse before this bad-caps-phenomenon takes place??

21 elecrolytic capacitors total.. Should i re-cap this whole PCB or just the buldging ones?

Can you show a picture of these capacitors?

Fuses won't fail when the caps fail. It's not as if the capacitors short out when they fail. That's rare.

They are very bad -- I would replace ALL of the capacitors on the SECONDARY side with high quality Panasonic FC, FM, FR.

                    Sec. electrol. capacitors (105C) :

                    5 x 2200 uF 10V
                    1 x 2200 uF 25V
                    1 x 1500 uF 35V
                    1 x 470 uF 35V
                    1 x 470 uF 25V
                    1 x 470 uF 10V
                    1 x 47uF 50V
                    1 x 1uF 50V

Partco supplies Panasonic caps in finland, abt. 20€ order placed. Now i´ll just have to wait a couple of days.

                      Well. That was it.
Today i got new Panasonic caps, soldered them to PSU and, *tadaa*,
it works! No smoke, no weird noise, no nothing extra. It_just_works,
                      as a TV should. Cheers!

I have the same issue with the same board same DOM for the PCB.
LG 32LC52-ZCAEKVLMG TV (DOM June 2007) acquired for a tenner.

                        C202,206,217,221 2200uF 10V RAD & C210 1500uF 35V RAD all bulged
Will be replacing these and testing the other caps.

                        Results to follow soon

PS3 FAT NEC/TOKIN Resistance Testing, need help interpreting values
                          by jkucukov
I'm in process of diagnosing the yellow light of death symptom on my PS3 FAT console CECHG01, in process of getting the Arduino gadget to be able to access Syscon and be able to read fault codes. In the meantime, I'm trying to measure resistance of the NEC/Tokins while still attached to the board. I took the Ohm readings from each of the NEC/Tokins from front and back of the board (4 from the RSX and 4 from the CPU chips).

What I gathered in the attached pictures are values from the CPU NEC/Tokins are consistently measuring 1.6 Ohms while on the RSX they measure 3.4 Ohms except for...

                          Hi there everyone!

I am awaiting on a CH341 programmer and a WSON 6x5 probe to dump the flash of a Dell 7320 8FC8 with Winbond 25R256JVEN chip, in the meantime I'd like to get things ready in order to maximise my chances of success. I have seen a few tools around, NeoProgrammer, Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit, CH341A Programmer, Flashrom to name some. Which one is the most recommended/suitable for this kid of application? The only one that seems to have support is NeoProgrammer New Update V2.2.0.10.

I find my self a bit confused, and I would rather getting a clean dump...

Hi all....I have been using my Behringer mixer quite comfortably for a number of years now and generally it's been trouble free apart from a replacement crossfader. Recently input three channel fader began to bleed a little and causing the mixer to light up like a Christmas tree! I realise the unit is ageing now and although I'd put some hours on it over the years it's not been abused. Following the issue I planned on replacing the faders and ordered the necessary parts. In the meantime whilst awaiting the replacements I continued to use the mixer up until the channel fader started to give feedback...

                          by Gjackson
                          Hi all,

I have a 3080 with seemingly correct rail resistances and all voltages present apart from the PEX,

                          12VEXT: >1KOhm and rising: 12v
                          5V: 2.4KOhm: 5v
                          1.8V: 2.3KOhm: 1.8v
                          MEM 54Ohm: 1.3v
                          PEX: 5.1Ohm: 0v

I found that a zero ohm resistor that powers the AOZ2261NQI-11 IC (from 12v EXT) which generates PEX was open,
on further inspection the IN rail of the chip was shorted, I injected voltage and saw it warm up, once the chip was removed short was still present and I realized it was coming from the other side of the...
