    Sony bravis kdl-52lx900 t-con board

Hi, i have sony kdl-52lx900 that flashing 5 times, i just wanna ask about the fuse of t-con board.
Is this the fuse, the little black one?Click image for larger version

If yes, i tested it with multimeter, and there is no open line or no beep on my multimeter, could be this problem that make my sony tv blink 5 times? You guys know how to jump the fuse? Start from where should i solder?

Before i fix my power supply fuse with soldering a wire, that fuse connect vcc12v.

    Thanks

On my power supply side when i turn on there is no voltage but when the tv wanna shut itselft off and then there is vcc11.1v, cause when i connect the tcon to power supply, my tv start turn on and off with 5 second duration,

Do you mean the volt of tcon fuse? If yes, then, i got no/zero in my multimeter but when test in continuity there is no beep.

      Thanks

You mean cable that connect to mainboard? Or the four ribbon cable that connect lcd panel?
Anyway, just let you know that i had change the mainboard before.

This morning i just try to solder wire from the connector to f100, but when i connect it, i just burn out the chip of fet908, now is it fixable? Try to find the part of tcon, but out of stock, dunno what to do now, hopeless

now I put the ribbon cable back in, and the amber and green light still flashing, before, I soldered the connector pin to f100, and smoke coming out from the chip of fet908, how do i check the fet908 is still work? and then I tried solder back the fuse again with cable not only thin wire, now the tv gave me amber and green light flashing with my usb light flashing but still dark screen so I turn it off cause I went to work, the voltage of vcc12v is steady now with 12v, so what does it mean?

Most solid state device rely on smoke to operate, once you let the smoke out they no longer function.

It is possible either panel or t-con is bad. The fuse blew for a reason. I doubt this TV has a specific code for bad panel. Green-yellow sounds like it is boot looping (turning on t-con power only to have that shut down PSU, then restarting the process.)

Can it solder a jumper from the fuse to somewhere in tcon board??

Given the MOSFET was destroyed previously I would NOT recommend that. You would only cause more damage.

Sorry, what is mosfet? I dunno what should i do now, either selling as part or buy the tcon board, but the tcon out of stock... If you have condition like me, what should you do? I already spent for the mainboard..

                                    MOSFET=that device that burned.

Don't know what to suggest, really; you might have to hold out for a t-con to appear or see if you can find a repair service.

                                          Hi There,

This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.

After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.

                                          by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                                          Assuming...

Driving a Sharp TCON/panel with a universal main board

This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Ordered Wrong TCON Board For Sony TV, Can I flash Epprom
                                          by gersrt
                                          HI

Made a mistake and ordered the wrong TCON board to replace in my KDL-46HX823, the board I ordered was Sony PLY 1-883-893-11 which is sort of correct.

But later realized this board is used in 4 or 5 models, any way the one i got sent was for KDL-55HX820.

Physically these boards are identical, everything on the board is the same. I havent put this board into the TV yet, but am I right in saying all i would have to do is copy the Epprom from my faulty board and transfere it on to the new board, or is there still something else that may stop this working....
