I see 16 3-pin MOSFETs on the board.

Would the hot air station work better of the. iron ?
I guess if i dont do it right i will have to get another inverter board off ebay.
Them boards are kinda hard to find .

                Re: insignia. no picture/back light

No, a resistor wouldn't restore the operation of the MOSFETs; why would it?
I would use hot air, with soldering iron, it's a lot easier to accidentally take off a smd pad.
With that many failed FETs I'd also consider replacing the driver chip - chances are it is OK but if it isn't, your FETs could go pop again.

(For a quick test, you could try with only one pair of FETs soldered down. The inverter SHOULD do a 2 seconds to black fault and you will get a brief flash from some of the bulbs. It'll stop you blowing all of them at once.)

There is 2 sets of mosfets good on that inverter board. But no 2 sec to black

This happened last Saturday and today I finally had time this morning before I went to work to replace two non brand capacitors

I will let you be the judge weather or not these are bad or not according to the blue ESR meter that I am using

I am comparing them to a brand new one that I installed

The display came back on and the programming was not lost which I was surprised by I would have thought that when the display went blank that so did the memory as well

I going to let it run for several days before I remount back on the wall next to the...

                            Hi Guys,

This forum has been in great help to me, but I stumbled upon a strange problem with a salvaged Samsung TV that I am banging my head to troubleshoot.

                            PSU: L48S6 FHS BN44-00807D
                            T-Con: BN95-01937A

MB: NA (Currently as the TV is assembled and forgot to take picture)

As I said earlier I have some issues with the TV I got from a friend of mine. The TV had no picture, but sound, back light and everything else was working fine.
It was sent to an authorized service for repairs and returned with the...

My living room TV kaput after lighting storm along with Cable Set-top Box connected via HDMI-3.
So, with my little knowledge of electronics I thought of fix it by myself.
First, I searched forum for any case registered existing if anyone have same issue/symptom.
Found some few case near matching But not really the same !!!
Now decided to open a new thread.
