    insignia. no picture/back light

    i have a insignia e479mznkw1bm. i have a red stand by light.
    when i push power button the stand by light turns blue.
    still no picture...no sound if i hook a dvd player to it.the only response from remote is power on and power off.
    reading on power board
    3.079.- on/off
    24.03 -. diw
    11.85. - 12v
    11.85- 12v
    o-ground
    0-
    0
    24.38-24v
    24.38
    4.01-ps on
    4.96-5v

    main.logic has same readings. i tried to jumper the back light
    but couldnt get it to come on. any clues /help here

      ON/OFF is going high so that indicates main board sending inverter on signal. Double check "DIW" is not "DIM" and see if you measure ~2.4V instead of ~24V.

        yea that was. dim. not (diw). on/off is 3.1
        dim = 3.04

                        Where are you measuring the 24V? If you have a 24V power supply to the main board (for audio) it's likely you also have 24V for inverter... so check where you're probing.

                          I just saw where wires plug in from power supply board to inverter. it says 24v..
                          Well now i was probing the other side of conector n got a spark ..
                          Lost 12v pover ..gona re check. voltages. on power board

                            It looks like another one of those CMO with bad black fuse with '15', or '20' printed on top. The pictures are too poor to see anything. I hope you did not damage the 12V/24V powwer supply.
                            On the right side of the inverter, look for fuse 'F 1A/76V'

                                i had .523 ohms on that. fuse f1a. but tge f 8a fuse i got nothing at all.
                                the f8a/125v. i got no ohms also

                                      Rare for both to be failed. What voltage do you measure on each end?

                                        i got the power supply voltages back..the. white fuses both have
                                        24v on one end of fuse but .006 on bottom fuse and .004
                                        on the other fuse. the one on bottom has the .006
