Hi I have a samsung 1080p 37inch TV that I've swapped the main board out on (after the bad caps had been replaced on the PSU board).
When I've installed the new board it is detected by my Mac Mini through HDMI as a 1366 x 768 display instead of a 1080p display.
I don't have a remote with me to jump into the settings but am wondering if there is anything in the engineering menu to set the resolution of the panel that the board is plugged into?
The TCon board was fine before the mod but the power kept turning off on the board (tried changing the rom) and it seemed easy just to swap the main board over.
The image does not correctly fit the screen and the lighter colours on the panel are incorrect. The image seens to get to about 768 pels then there is a blank and the image starts again off the bottom of the display.
To add insult to injury the new board I bought from ebay is rusty down the HDMI and VGA connectors. The board has definitely seen some water damage but was sold as from a working set. I assume though that the fault I'm seeing is not due to the water damage.
