    problem with tp.ms338.pb803 mainboard

    Greetings to the forum.
I have 4 NordMende ND32S3100H TVs that mount the BD_TP_MS338_PB803 board (as per service menu)...
After the switching on the DVB-T2 in Italy and the transition from the MPEG-2 video coding to the MPEG-4, a broadcaster (Mediaset) changed the coding of the Italian audio channel from HE-AAC to Dolby Digital+, while the English channel remained on HE-AAC...
The result was that all my 4 TVs have the Italian channel muted, only the second audio channel in English is heard...
My question is: does anyone know with certainty if this board supports the audio Dolby Digital+ coding or not?
I have the doubt that it does not support it, so I would like to avoid downloading tons of FW if the audio chip does not decode the Dolby Digital+...
    Thank you.

On an Italian forum they told me with certainty that mainboard does not support Dolby Digital+ audio coding.
At this point, do you know if I can find a newer mainboard model that can be mounted on those TVs and that support the Dolby Digital+?
    thank you.

old X58 triple channel board... memtest86 memory speed?
      by eccerr0r
Anyone run memory speed tests with an old X58-based triple channel 1st gen or any other >2 channel board? The one I have is a Gigabyte I think.

Anyway I had four 4GB DDR3-1333 modules in the 6 memory slots and got around 11GB/sec memory speeds assuming that it went dual channel since it didn't have enough modules for triple channel. Now I stuck in two more 4GB modules, but they are DDR3-1600. I'm still getting 11GB/sec speeds according to memtest86...

Just wondering, anyone do memory speed analysis on these triple (and higher) channel memory boards? Are there any...

Reverse engineering of 18650 4-channel tester
      by spleenharvester
      Hi friends

I have reverse engineered this tester, schematic is attached and is complete except for capacitor values. These testers annoyingly have no model number but they are the ones you find on the first page of just about any website if you type in "18650 4-channel tester". There is also a 2-channel variant and a newer 8-channel variant. They are very cheap (about £15) and can measure voltage, current, internal resistance and capacity. They have a multicolour display for all these statistics. They also have terminal blocks so that if you want to use a breakout board...

Sony STR-DE445 did I get a faulty IC?
      by goodpsusearch
Hello, I got this AVR for cheap and tried to fix it as a fun and learning project.

First the audio video receiver would turn on but had no sound at all, but no "PROTECT" message.

So, I opened the metal case and noticed some marks showing that some liquid has been spilled on the amp. Those water marks were found on the main board and the digital board.

I disassembled everything, then checked every single cap on every board of the amp and recapped when needed.

Also fixed A LOT of cold solder joints and also done some modifications,...

American Audio VLP1500 Distorting on one channel
      by dicky96
Hi guys I have a VLP1500 amplifier here - one channels works fine and the other channel distorts even at low volume settings

Protection and Clip LED are off

There is something wrong with the BIAS voltages around T16 and T18 (in particular) on the bad channel

I tested all diodes and transistors in this area in circuit with diode mode - both channels seem identical. Same in resistance mode across all the resistors here.

The output DC voltages on pin1 and pin8 of the 5532D dual op amp at the input of each amplifier module are the same, and the audio...

Marantz pm 6005 right channel not worknig
      by sima112
      Hi guys,
I need a help with my Marantz pm6005. It started to have weaker the right channel a few months ago, than it got back to normal and now it has lost sound completely on the right channel. At the final stage it was loosing the channel for a while and than it returned. After it has disappeared completely I could forced it back by unplugging the source form CD (which I normally use) to phone and back. It would then work for a few minutes and died again. Now it is possible power up and all function works normally (apart the right channel ) on all inputs, except the phone both channel...
