Re: Alba 32880hdf Flashing standby
so for the hell of it I thought i'd plug in a usb drive to see if it got any activity the first time i plugged it in the pen drive lit up briefly for maybe 2 or 3 seconds and since then it no longer lights up showing power etc
I know this is probably nothing but the main board was outputting the 5v at least for the usb at one point
edit: again maybe nothing but thought i'd try anyway, powered the tv off by mains and connected a xbox360 (via hdmi) and powered it on, the xbox360 wont boot fully without a valid video signal the other end or something to say yes or however hdcp works, anyway I let the xbox360 sit there and it done nothing as it's supposed to, powered the tv on and got the flashing led on the tv but the xbox360 proceeded to boot as normal
So some part of the main board is still active, again maybe nothing but it's a start...Last edited by anotherdude; 01-16-2014, 02:00 PM.Leave a comment:

Re: Alba 32880hdf Flashing standby
ye I did read that, but I can't see anything removable on this to put a new eeprom in, not sure how i'd go about only connecting up the yellow and black cables on there own to the touch panel on the lower bottom.
and thats a different board too, not sure if it matters but i know the touch panel is in a different position, also have tried without the tcon and still get the same, no glimpse of a backlight eitherLeave a comment:

I think that's good. You might have corrupted firmware. It is possible to update the firmware but it's difficult, you need the BIN file and a USB memory stick.Leave a comment:

Alba 32880hdf Flashing standby
Picked this up last night originally told stuck in standby (assumed just solid standby) but it flashes blue and red indicating a problem in the self check i think
Anyway measured the voltages from the psu to the mainboard and the only one that currently stands out is the 12v reads 11.7 not really much of a drop but only one i'm really noticing
BL inverter reads 25v which should be correct I think, tried the obvious disconnecting boards one by one etc
any suggestions?
Disconnected the main board and powered it up the 12v pin now reads 12.6v with the main board disconnected, points to a main board fault?
edit2: looking through the 17pw25-4 schematic there is a 24v aud pin on PL805 but i read nothing at this pin when not connected to the main board, also the same when main board is connectedLast edited by anotherdude; 01-16-2014, 07:25 AM.Tags: None

by PNI E.Hi guys, I’m back here my friend give me her tv, that doesn’t turn on and no standby red led. When u plug in the cord the red led of one two second is on, then turn off. If you push the power button or the remote the red led blinks but nothing happen. I give u some photo with voltage, don’t look the fuse….because I blow it for mistake nd I dint have the right replace so I just put it for test the tv. The standby voltage should be 11,88 volt on the diode, but I have 13 volts. I put in the photo the different volts I test and there are someone negative…I don’t know if it s normal. On...

by Willem01Hi all,

I have read through the Basic LCD TV and Monitor troubleshooting guides.

In the meantime I could not see any damage to any caps on the cold side of the power board, so I have replaced all of them.
Unplugged the power connector on the board, I plugged the power cable in waited... -
by STKR123As the Elitebooks (820, 840 all gens) only show flashing Power LED and flashing CapsLock (continuously) + a very soft "ticking" noise near the DC Jack,
I wonder if re-flashing the BIOS might be of any use here.
As far as I understood, steady flashing either means insufficient power or a CPU/GPU/Motherboard issue. I use the original 65watt power supply.
There are so many threads out there, but most of the solutions involve flashing codes, which I dont have or claim that you MUST use the original power supply, do a hard reset, reseat the RAM, clean the RAM,... -
by cheeky2I suppose the real question is whether the existing pinouts from ether a 17IPS71 psu are cross compatible with a 17IPS12 psu? If they are then the exchange of the main boards should have no issues providing the screen is compatible with both main boards. Obviously you can change the screen configurations easily enough (providing you have the correct files) for the main board. Why may you ask would I do this? Well a lot of the smart features are no longer working on a Hitachi 48HBT62U main board I wish to give it a new lease of life!
Obviously the same LVDS connector for the screen connection... -
by howardc64TV standby light flash once after plug-in AC power. Then silent. No backlight, no LCD image on flash light test, no SPDIF light.
All PSU voltages to main looks good (12v, 20v (label says 18v but is 20), standby voltage) Probing main board shows what appears to be a DCDC converter (MSH6103A can't find datasheet) providing 5v, 3.3v and 1v. 5v present to the standby light power switch board.
These HiSense TVs appears to have lots of firmware corruptions that takes out the main board either through smartTV use or firmware update. Used main board... - Loading...
