VIVO 40" LCD (LTV40FHD) No Picture

I have seen a similar thread on this forum; well over a year old so I thought I'd start afresh.
Plugged in to mains gives red status indicator
Power switch pressed changes to blue indicator
No signs of source image or menu display.

This happened just before 12month warranty expired. Set was repaired. The same problem has re-occurred almost 12 months later...must be some weird anniversary thing.

Removed power board and identified caps C34, 36, 41, 42, 43, 44 (see orange circle) had been replaced . . messy soldering. Everything else looks clean, no signs of any damage, burning, electrolytic bulge or discolouration of other caps.
Images of power and video processing boards attached. I can post images of whole rear assembly and solder side of power board if necessary.

    Same problem maybe??

hi although the other capacitors look good they may still be faulty this is where a esr meter comes handy a tip try heating the whole power supply board with a hair dryer for about 4 minutes and then see if the screen lights up as normal i have a psu im working on at the minute and when heated its working great so i have just ordered every capacitor for the board it worth a try at least.

Finally had a chance to get back to this one. On closer inspection, It looked as though the caps may have only had their solder joints attempted to be reflowed. The work was pretty shoddy; dry joints and flux residue. I removed the caps, cleaned up the board pads and resoldered the components. Worked a treat.

Hope this helps someone else with a similar problem.

Hi. I have the same issue on the same caps. Looks like it has been resoldered and real shonky at that!

The caps look burnt, and I can't see values on them. Also difficult to find a schematic.

Any idea how I can find the cap values, so I can replace them?

        Thanks

T-con suspect issue. Both ribbon cables no picture. One ribbon cable ok. (58pus8545)
          by Tr0ll
Hi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.

The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.

          Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.

          First replacement T-con:

I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)...

Samsung TV model UE50TU: rebooting, backlight, sound, but no picture
          by TR103
          Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
          - sound and backlight, but no picture
          - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
          - it keeps rebooting
          - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
          - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
          - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

          - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
          by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and

Hello, Last week I bought the 50" Sony X80j tv everything was working fine, untill I plugged the tv in a ups power supply 650va the tv remote control became unresponsive and the TV became laggy after a while the picture quality isn't the same as before the tv seems less brighter and the picture is somehow blurry, people's faces don't look as natural as before, there is a mini orange-pink tint to the edge of people's faces especially in NETFLIX Dolby Vision like in One Piece ep1 Alvida skin tone, my intention was to protect the tv but something went wrong I checked the ups with a multimeter,...

Philips 58PUS7805/12 showed no picture; after T-Con replacement, shows halo
          by Rauni
Hello, this is my first post on this forum, and my first attempted to repair a TV.

My Philips 58PUS7805/12 stopped working recently. It is not that old, about 5 years. We were on a trip for a few days and when we came back, it had stopped working out of a blue (Perhaps our house was hit by a lightning strike? Don't know.)

Read from a guide that I should test if the screen shows picture with one of the T-Con cables disconnected. Did that, it showed perfect picture (first on left, later on right side).

Read also that we should test what happens if we...
