    TNPA5105 SC Repair KITS.

Thought I'd throw this up in case anyone gets interested at self repair.

Just some kits getting around of varying degrees of completeness.

Only one you can see is OEM supplied components 10pce kit, 13pce kit interesting the extra 3 parts adds 100GBP?, nice copycat ad as well and another larger 17pce kit.

    10pce

    looking familiar

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PANASONIC-...item1e8565bba6

13pce, the price is absurd. States OEM, photo and description mismatch? Then in the body of the listing it says for repair of your board "the cost for this service is £89 for parts and labour"

Easy, have them repair it and save 40-50GBP! Something's wrong there?

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/13pcs-REP...item3f2e5f7a0a

This one is more complete, 17pce

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TCP50S2-TX...item2ecd791aa2

Some info but anyone fixing could use most of the TNPA5081 items listed as a good guide to what can fail.

Q621 ? will be something in spec close to a 30F125

    Q401 DG502LW

    Q402 DG502LW

    Q660 R5007ANX

    Q661 RJP63F4A

    Q451 45G128

    Q421 RJP43F4A

    Q422 RJP43F4A

    D482 RFUS20 TM4S? 430V 20A

    R551 10ohm 1/4W metalfilm 5%

    R506 10ohm 1/4W metalfilm 5%

    R451 5.6ohm 1/3W metalfilm 5%

    IC16521 M81737FP FET driver

The TNPA5105 is a cut down version of the 5081 which I repaired.

Not all of the transistors are identical but will be similar in rating, you'd have to compare the OEM numbers to figure it out more.

The big list I created for the 5081. Unlikely you'll find this much blown.

      Hi tw 2005
I have been looking throughthe threads on TNPA5081, since the board is no longer available in Oz through Panasonic.
Generaly I shy away from repairs where parts have blown on a board all over the place instead of just one bank of transistors, have to admire your persistance on these boards.

Unfortunatly I have to now try to fix one or two of the SC boards. where is the best place of getting all the parts in one hit, or is it better to just get a kit, some seem to have most of the stuff required, driver ICs smd resistors , FETS etc from UK.

        Re: TNPA5105 SC Repair KITS.

UTSOURCE is where I go for all the bits. Maybe got some resistors from RS and a TI sub for the toshiba schmitt inverter there too.

To be honest some of the IGBTs seemed recycled but I did not care because what I got and used worked.
ALIEXPRESS I read of someone using that but not real sure otherwise. OF course you could getthem from Panasonic which would make it very expensive and would put the pressure on to get it correct or $$$ up in smoke.

kits are marked up a bit but the GTV watford ones have oem new components. I would expect that to be the most complete kit. The shopjimmy ones unless they have corrected a deficiency in those are a good price but postage is not great.

Don't fall into the trap of trusting the kit will 100% repair the board. I know of someone who tried the SJ kit and they all blew again because there were a couple of key components not included which I would expect to see.

Thanks tw2005, I did end up ordering from utsource, getting enough parts to do a few boards, they have everything except one transistor so lets see. Would be good to find out why all the parts blow in the first place, Panasonic would know and should put out a rebuild advice if they are unwilling to supply complete boards now for some times only 3 year old TVs.

            Which transistor?

I wonder where the law stands? 3 years is still too young for the money they cost in 2010.

            Is it a 5105 or 5081 you're doing?

couldnt get the Q16702 transistors, anyway all the other parts arrived and I have found more dead stuff. Im rebuilding 2 boards at onece TNPA5081 for a 50"
and one for 54" set which I had lying around after replace ment. Seriously should have written the last set off though,

Found a faulty SC board in my pile of dead parts out of an THP50G10, this has many sections and even the location numbers the same, and am currently canabalising this for the remaining parts. See how this ends up soon.

If you're doing a 5081, do me a favour and put the results in the 5081 thread.

A list of what IGBTs you found shorted?

As for Q702 2PD601ART, I had no trouble, just placed an order and it's on it's way. But it's just a GP NPN transistor so not too hard to sub for it.

I used BC846 only because jaycar was handy.

These boards are scarce too, only way to get one in most cases is to find a component repairer.

Anyone have the schematic I cant find it on google ??

My board is a bit more complex, following parts some are not included in repair kits are dead:

                      Q451
                      D482
                      Q422
                      Q421
                      D402
                      D401
                      Q402
                      Q401
                      D422
                      Q660
                      Q661
                      IC521
                      R421
                      R422
                      R551
                      R506

If any one has the PN or schematic to help me find what parts I need I will be very grateful.

                          Hello
Got this speaker from a friend , defective. Power led comes on and off , in a loop.
Disassembled, got the board out, and after a bit of measuring I found a low resistance on a 5v6 line. With a bit of current I found a transistor heating up on that line (labeled T1 and 113 as on pic).
After removing this guy, I got a value of 0.7 in diode mode on that 5v6 line, which before had 0.02 or something like that.

I tested powering it up without the IC, and the speaker turns on and stays on, and works fine

Still, I need to replace this transistor....

                          Hello everyone,

I guess I need help from the masters to try and find what is frying a 2SC5669 transistor on the left channel of this front center Amp for a NAD T752.

Was working perfectly and all of a sudden I heard a pop, and then a glow from the amp. Not only did the 2SC5669 burn a leg, but R520 which is a 220 ohm resistor partially burned - it now measures 110 ohms.

I bought this amp second hand fairly cheap as it was not working, it went into protection mode. I finally traced it down to the same transistor Q510, the one that just popped. It was shorted...
