    Sony Bravia KDL32D300 vertical lines. fixed.

    Hi all just posting this incase it is of use to anyone with the same fault.i recently bought a sony bravia KDL32D300 manufacture date 2007.the fault was vertical lines all across screen as in picture,this is a very common fault with these.
    After googling for a while i found the problem that causes this is a smd resistor on the tcon board.which should be 9.1 Kohm it is marked as rt 36, when i put my multimeter on it was reading 3.5 meg. so i Soldered a 10K resistor across RT36 and the picture is fine again.

          Hello,

          i order a t-con because i had bad colors on my SONY KDL-40V3000 :




          With the new t-con the color are good but there are vertical lines on all the screen :




          I've tried the old t-con and it returned to the initial issue (bad colors but no vertical lines)

          Is there a way to fix the vertical lines on the new t-con ?

          Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

          This "free from a friend who was going to recycle it" SONY BRAVIA XBR-55A8H arrived with the bottom center RED LED repeating a four flash pattern. It was treated with kid gloves and was reported to have "just gone dead" and the OLED panel has no dents in the metal frame or cracks.

          Thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?p=1091829 helped in proceeding as follows:
          1) Unplugged, then plugged set in while holding the remote VOL- and Power to factory reset.

          2) Waited 30 seconds, then pressed remote Power button and "Select language"...

          I have acquired a Sony XBR-65X900H to try and fix. It probably was a complete no power situation. The main board was replaced and the TV started turning on. I now have start sounds and backlights, but no image. I've replaced the t-con with no improvement. Cables all appear to be ok and seated properly. The TV took a firmware update and hard reset but neither helped.

          Using the tape trick I can get both side to display combinations of colored vertical lines. There is no change in the stripes and the pattern always appears the same. If I add additional tape strips I can get the screen...
