    Vizio 39" horizontal lines

Found yet another TV by the road that has lines across the whole screen. What is causing this?

Transformer, check the solder joints on that and the rest of the solder joints on the board, can search images for bad/cracked/cold solder joints if needed.

          Edit:
Ok i will look closely. This TV only has this one board so is the buzzing the cause of the lines?

Solder seems to have worked its way where the second pin in attached pic is disconnected. How in the world do i solder that?

I don't really see any bad solder on the board so i was wondering what i can check next? The board is the tcon/ps/main all in one.

And you took the board out and checked all the solder joints? examples of bad joints: https://www.google.com/search?client...h=599&dpr=1.09

I ended up getting another board but unfortunately the lines remained. The buffer board has an issue i can't fix.

This may be the solution: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbGAkRgaZhs&t=8s Not sure, maybe this won't work if you only have one cable from mainboard to driver board.

Or it could be bad/loose tab bond or bad/damaged/dirty flat cable, can clean with isopropyl alcohol or pencil eraser, not too vigorously they can be delicate. May be a faulty component on driver board, did the buzzing go away with replacement mainboard?

Hi guys, I have a Vizio M58Q7-J01 and now there are some colored horizontal lines on the screen. Could someone tell me if it's probably a panel issue or something related to other parts and can be fixed? Thank you in advance....

                        Hi there,
I think it might be a bad panel but I thought I'd ask before I chuck it..

thin colored horizontal lines bottom and thin section on top. As it runs warmer, you can see some ghosting or double image. Right hand side of the screen darker then brighter (backlight is always on, so it's the actual LCD that gets darker and brighter)

Replaced the Main board, because I had one handy, no change.

Is it worth replacing TCON? disconnecting ribbon on one side of the panel, the lines appear still on the other side (unplugged side.)

                        ...

                        Hi guys

I just started fixing 4k TV few months ago. so I am still learning a lot
I got this tv from friend complaint is ghosting or horizontal lines on image.

never saw the original symptom but I took the tv back home. the funny part is that after bringing to home, the tv worked fine no issue for 3 weeks.
then it started to show the ghosting white image.
I started using the tape method, but this tv does not have a T con board and it has only 1 ribbon cable from main board to the tv panel.
it has 3 thin small boards at the bottom of the...

Vizio E70-E3 Two white vertical lines
                        by brad2157
I picked up a Vizio E70-E3 for free that shows Vizio logo and then goes to a black screen. Original owner said he started having wifi issues and then he tried to reset the TV and that's when it wouldn't boot up any longer after his reset attempt. I picked up a replacement main board from eBay that matches the same model # board as the original from the TV.

Original main board - Shows Vizio logo when TV powers on, then goes to black screen. Doesn't boot up. No screen issues with any lines on start up Vizio logo.

Replacement main board - Boots up fine, but starting...

Sony XBR-65X750D Horizontal lines bottom of screen
                        by ggil44
Hi, I have a Sony XBR-65X750D that has horizontal lines at the bottom 6 inches of the screen. These lines appear to be every other line because the picture is still quite visible behind those lines. The lines appear all the time with a few other lines above and below the 6 inch level blinking on and off at about 2 second intervals. I'm not sure if this is a panel issue or power supply/main board problem. I did replace the T-Con board without any change in the problem. Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
