HITACHI 55HK6T64U Picture ghosting and jumping

    Hi all,

First post so please bear with

So I found a similar issue on another thread but have been advised to open a new one so here it is.

One day this TV started doing this:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42QlTOSOCjw

This happens on all inputs and menu screens.

Thank you to nomoresonys for previous advice - to check voltage on powerboard connector and possible loose/bad tab bond.

I've opened it up and tried reseating all the ribbon connections but the problem remains. I need some support in testing the DC output on the powerboard as I can't see which is GND and +12v. Would somebody be very kind and point out what pins are which?

I watched the youtube video for the tape cutoff method https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7vl7-vZEL8 but noticed on mine the picture completely disappeared when removing one of the ribbons from the TCON rather than just one side. I also think this one is different as the ribbons push in rather than lay on so not sure if it will go in with some tape on.

Sorry if I sound like a numpty, I'm not stupid just not something I've done before.

    Thanks all

I've got the readings from the power board and the main board power.
Power board pin readings (top to bottom as per picture):
    12.06v
    Decreasing reading
    3.34v
    3.316v
    0.018v
    25.14v

Main board pin readings (Left to right):
    25.13v
    0.018v
    3.315v
    3.344v
    Decreasing
    12.03v
    12.03v
    0.134v
    0.103v
    0v
    Does this look right?

I also tried taping one of the ribbons that come out of the TCON and the whole picture disappears as per before.

    Any advice please guys?

Is this a throw away job?

Try this simple test, heat all the electrolytic caps with a hairdryer for a couple minutes then try the tv, don't wait til it cools off, try it while it's still hot.

Hitachi 55HDS69 55" Plasma TV - No Picture But Sound
        by KYBOSH
Picked up a bahemoth plasma TV not too long ago and just now getting around to looking at it.
No picture but you hear the TV static (white noise) playing loud and clear.
The back was already taken off (and no screws were provided) as the previous owner had already taken a look.
But it seems they didn't get too far and just left it.

When I first took a look I was amazed at how pristine the inside looked.
Its as if the TV had been in a time capsule.
Caps looked like they were just pulled off the self.
Copper coils had no sign of corrosion on...

T-con suspect issue. Both ribbon cables no picture. One ribbon cable ok. (58pus8545)
        by Tr0ll
Hi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.

The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.

        Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.

        First replacement T-con:

I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)...

TV Philips 43PUS8505/12 - horizontal line and picture jumping
        by betmen
TV is Philips 43PUS8505/12, bought in 12/2020, so the two-year warranty has expired about 5 mounth ago...
Problem is that 15 minutes after TV is turned on, the horizontal lines appear and picture start jumping up and down.

I suspect that T-CON is faulty when wormed up...

I separated all the cables from the T-CON and cleaned them but there is no change.
Eco mode is disabled, software is up to date, I make factory reset and reinstal TV from TV menu...no change, problem is stil here.

        Anibody have some thoughts?...

Samsung TV model UE50TU: rebooting, backlight, sound, but no picture
        by TR103
        Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
        - sound and backlight, but no picture
        - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
        - it keeps rebooting
        - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
        - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
        - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

        - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...

HITACHI U50KA6150 LED TV - Turns on, BKLT ok, no picture
        by magneh
        Hi there

Got this TV set to check.
        HITACHI U50KA6150 LED TV

The tv turns on ok, I can see on my PC that it detects the screen and I can see it on the screen settings, but theres no image.
Backlight is present. screen not broken or shattered.

Its this clearly a TCON or panel issue?
I dont think it can be a board issue, but im not a TV expert

Any inputs but someone more experiences is welcome before I disassemble the device or try to find a new tcon.

        Cheers
