    Philips 42FD9944 powersupply failure

    Hello everyone,

Got a struggling older Philips plasma, model 42FD9944.
During poweron it crackles and pops from the SMPS, I can read a somewhat unstable PFC voltage of around 390VDC, jumps a few volts up and down.
VA and VS does not start anymore, recently tried to start up those, but not reach their correct magnitudes.

Suspect a bad caps SOMEWHERE, there are hundreds in this set.

Please check the attached pic and let me know if you know what to check.

    Any advice?
Have to go through the pcb with freeze spray. Hairdryer didn't reveal anything.

Crackle and popping is not a good sign, where in the SMPS is that coming from? Primary or secondary side?
Did I leave the soldering iron on?

It's hard to determine which side crackles. I suspect the crackles are, simply, the PFC trying to regulate but the DC/DC is jumpy and won't present a smooth load.

Philips 8200 series 65PUS8204/12 stuck at Philips Logo
          by G33RT
Philips 8200 series 65PUS8204/12 stuck at Philips Logo, it does not reboot it just stays on the logo.

It does power up when pressing the power button.

I already try the power button while plugin the plug with no result.
Also put the latest firmware autorun-TPM191E_R.001.004.100.000.upg on a MBR/FAT32 USB stick at USB port2 with no result either.

Could this be an PSU or eMMC issue ?

The TV does not turn on, the standby indicator is on. All voltages are present.
Emms is dead. Not readable, not detected.
          Replaced emmc.
But with another dump there is no launch

Philips 43PUS7506/12 - Loud blown out sound
          by aidanmo
          Hello,

I've got a really strange issue with the speakers on my Philips 43PUS7506/12. It makes this awful loud buzzing now. It happened after it was attempted to be wall mounted - I think the back got squeezed and something broke.
I thought maybe the speakers got damaged, so I replaced them - no dice.
          • Using the internal speakers, it always happens.
          • Using the headphone jack, it never happens.
          • Using the digital/optical out with a soundbar - it happens after about 2h/movie runtime - it's never as drastic, it just pops in and out, but I didn't want it to damage the sound bar

Carrier HK50AA063 display controller common failure help
          by ctroxtell
I've got a control display for a Carrier chiller that I'm trying to understand what the common failure with these boards are. This is the board in question https://www.supplyhouse.com/Carrier-...arquee-Display all of them seem to develop a failure with the up and down arrow buttons on the right side of the display, the esc and enter keys I've never seen fail. Once these boards are plugged in they run 24/7, you used to have to press extremely hard with the end of the blunt screwdriver and you could still get the arrows to work but now it has completely stopped working. The button...

Vizio E55-F1 dark backlight zones. LED failure or Dimming Zone Driver?
          by howardc64
          Problem

Fixing a dimming zone TV with LEDs not lighting up. Dimming zone circuit introduces added variable to diagnose LED and/or Dimming Zone Driver board? Some 1/2 rows of LEDs appears to be out in active dimming zone off AND some brightness flickering with active dimming zone high while playing changing video

          Model & Board Pics

          Conflicting Spec

Vizio indicate this TV has 10 dimming zones. However, LED strips and Zoned light driver connector suggest 12
