    Samsung LE40M86BD flashing picture

I have a Samsung LE40M86BD LED TV, the picture has recently started to flash, i have turned it on and off a number of times and a few wiggles of the HDMI lead occassionally sorts it out. I have read somewhere that there is a jumper that can be cut on samsungs and this remedies the problem. Howvere the jumper no. stated on another model does not appear on this model

Could anyone offer some advice? I have been into service mode and reset but this has had no effect.

    Cheers Gomez

When it flashes, does the backlight go out too, or can you see a glow between each flash?

The picture flickers and when the scene changes the old scene fades on one side of the screen.

Sounds like a tab-bond/panel failure issue.

Try here: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=33616, this has been my experience of resent times, do remember though it could either be on the driver board or directly on the LCD screen.

                    Hello,
first of all sorry for diging out this old thread. I´ve got the same Tv, the Samsung LE40M86BD. But my backlight is flashing. I replaced the caps a year ago. The tv was working fine after this. But now the backlight is going on and off rapidly. Just like a strobe.
I´ve replaced the cap´s again but nothing changed.

What do you think? Maybe the inverter or the power suply board?

Sorry for my bad english. I´m from germany

I would be thankfull for any advice.

                    Greets Painker

SAMSUNG UN55KS9000F picture fades then distorts into vertical lines after 20 seconds
                      by JJAAMM
This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

                      Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...

Samsung LE37A656A1F TV, No Picture, LED Flashing Continuously
                      by estergon2004
                      Hi,
                      Samsung LE37A656A1F
TV turns on, no picture, LED light flashes very rapidly and continuously .
                      Sound and Backlight are OK.
                      It didn't happen at once.
In the beginning picture was coming about 15 mins after the turning on.

What could be the problem please?
                      Thanks!

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
                      by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and

                      Hello Community!

                      CASE DETAILS

Promblem Signs: Backlight on 1 sec off 7sec > repeat && Red standby light: 1blink, off 3 sec, 2 blinks, off 5 secs, 2 blinks, off 3 sec, restart cycle

13V present on powerboard output. Backlight continues flashing after removing cables to pannel one at a time and even with both disconnected. NOTE: backlight STOPs flashing and remains on when connector between powerboard and mainboard (note Tcon built in) is disconnected.

Tried inserting firmware on USB and left it in for a few hours, but no change
