Looks like your verticle oscillator, verticle amp transistor or a bad yoke. check the verticle amp transistor first. be sure to unplug Tv and discharge the CRT. They can hold a charge for days. use a HV probe or a long screwdriver through a 3 to 5 watt resistor to chasis. before putting your hands in there. CRT can hold a 35kv charge with a
fair amount of current when discharging

I should have mentioned our family used to have one of these TVs same exact model make sure you don't have cold solder joints on the vertical oscillator or the vertical output transistors also there are some fairly large heat resistors and the solder could be bad underneath the board there. basically go see the mainboard make sure that you don't have any cold solder joints

ok re soldered the flyback and found the low voltage fuse was the culprit the lines are now gone from letting it wake up it does need a bulb color adjustment bad as i can see the red and blue need to be adjusted the place where i brought it said o its no good and it cant be fixed well i fixed it so i'm gonna call them tomorrow since i paid $75 for service i'm gonna make them adjust for me free of charge . i did what i could to adjust it but yeah nes with battletoads lol..

doesn't that TV have screen and drive djustments or is it software driven. Service menu? The crt may be weak.

I think that's too old to have a service menu. It'll likely be full of trimpots.

To fix laptop screen vertical line by working on its EDP cable
                    by almarhum
Has one here really gone through fixing laptop screen vertical line(s) by repairing/replacing its Embedded DisplayPort (EDP) cable, so would recount and share the complete steps of the process here now?

As most, if not all, believe the laptop screen vertical line(s) caused by defective Embedded DisplayPort (EDP) cable which slipped and passed through either laptop screen hinge but post here is asking help to elaborate definitively the useful, real knowledge of repairing in the most complete, correct way, esp. can decide/determine whether the cable can still be fixed or must be re...

microsoft surface pro 5 touch screen not working
                    by Gabriel Lucas
Hello everyone, I bought a Microsoft Surface Pro 5 and the touch doesn't work. According to what the previous owner said, the screen stopped working after an update. The screen has no physical damage, and the touch works for 1 second when it turns on and then stops working. I've tried updating the drivers, formatting, and returning to factory defaults, but nothing worked. Can you help me?

iphone XS turns off when press on screen.
                    by smic717394
                    Hi,

I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on...

LG OLED 55EG920V Black Screen with one line
                    by fibcom999
Hi guys, I have aquired a LG 55EG920V for very small amout of money.

I have jumped the Power on, DRV_ON and 3,5v pins just for the screen to show a black screen with a green line offset to the left.

Connecting everything together, shuts the tv off automaticlly after a couple of second( LG protection?)

Tried with a spare MB and the original, both the same results.

But if i unplug the 12v rail to the tcon or the larger LVDS to tcon, the tv turns back to the one line and dosent shut off.

Could this be a tcon issue or something...
