How to adjust Vsetup and Vsetdn on Y-Sustain on 42HP66

Hello, I recently replaced a ZSUS board on a Toshiba 42HP66 that wasn't displaying a picture. Now that the TV is working I'm trying to dial it in a bit.

The Vs voltage was 4 volts above what the panel recommended so I dialed it back to the suggested 184 volts. The Va was .06 volts above the recommended 60 volts so I dialed it back too.

The picture is decent but it has a multi-colored pixelation maldischarge when the screen goes to black after a bright image is displayed. I am hoping to find out the proper way to adjust the Vsetup and Vsetdn as these are usually what people suggest as a way to reduce the pixelation.

I have a DMM, an oscilloscope and the service manual. The SM says nothing about adjusting the Vsetup or Vsetdn nor does it have a picture of waveform that seems to correspond to the Y-Sustain.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The LG panel alignment guide contains the info you need; I've attached a couple pages.

The mal-discharge may not be corrected by adjusting the waveforms. Some have had success with adjusting the voltages slightly out of spec to get rid of most of the sparkles. Flashing the control board usually corrects the issue on these 42X3 panels:

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. My oscope doesn't have 100V/Div or 100uS/Div settings so I'm not sure how to dial in the waveform w/o getting a different scope. However, I adjusted the other aspects according to to LG PLASMA QUICK REFERENCE ALIGNMENT HAND BOOK and the sparkles/maldischarge is barely noticable.

I will keep the ROM flashing option in mind but for now the minor sparkles are sufferable. Cheers

homemade speakers AN5277 How to adjust the volume?
          by Mcfeetroy
Hello everyone. I soldered the speakers according to the circuit diagram on the AN5277 sound amplifier microcircuit. Everything works fine (I only added a ferrite ring to remove the sound transmission interference)
But I can't adjust the sound (there is no variable resistor or something similar for this in the circuit....Please tell me how I can adjust the sound? What needs to be added to the circuit?

Panasonic TC-59R62 Overscan issues. How to adjust?
          by gre0013
Hello. I need help opening the service menu on a Panasonic TC-59R62
Its an old CRT with bad overscan. The top left of the screen is cut out and I need to adjust it. Ive tried multiple methods online ie, holding volume down on the TV then pressing recall (with the 30m timer as well). Nothing I have tried has been able to bring up the menu if there's one at all.
Or is there an adapter I could use to fix this? Trying to use the TV for old retro games but again the top left of the screen is cut out and cant see anything displayed there.

Luxman R-5045 - Cant adjust current bias
          by mikkele86
          Hello good people of badcaps.

          im back with another question

Im trying adjust the current bias accordingly to the manual, but my meter is showing the same value no matter whatever position VR-804a/VR-804b is in.

DC bias is adjusted and is working as intended.

Is my settings on the multimeter wrong ? or should i look for a bad component

          note: all transistor are new

          Picture from manual

          My measurements

AOC U28G2AE monitor can’t adjust the brightness
          by tehmatix
Hi, I have this monitor with this problem: go to menu picture of monitor and try to adjust the brightness, the cursor is moving to 100 but the screen still darker, without any change. Inside of the monitor, on power board I measured 32.42V output voltage on backlight inverter, which is constant for any value of brightness cursor ( 0 - 100 ) . It's possible to have a memory error on the logic board?

Marantz PM7200 Can't adjust Bias or DC Offset
          by mossieurclo
          Thanks for reading me:

After i repaired the speaker protection board of that amplifier, all was ok.

So I then proceeded to adjust iddle current, got it, then DC offset. Oh, bboy.

At that stage, on the left channel, after first seeing normal readings while moving the trimpot to get to the correct setting, suddenly readings were all over the place and did not respond to my turning the trimpot.

I played music to earphones, to find that there was no sound on left channel. Only distorted crackles on peaks.

          I took out the board...
