The resistors are for setting the output Voltage, it will be the IC.
You need to get at least two adj type 1117 Regulator ICs (U5 , DU4).
Tricky part will be removing and installing the ICs without disturbing the resistors and caps closed by, so I hope you are good at surface mount repair.

So are you thinking its the resistors or the regulator?

DU4 is an adjustable based on the two resistor network (one between ADJ and the Output pin, Resistor DR6, and another resistor between ADJ pin and GND, DR10).
The output Voltage can be calculated by knowing the values of those two resistors.

Well I can tell you that DL6 has continuity and .66V on either side and my multimeter has no way to test a capacitor, visually it looks fine thats all I can say.

My working set has the following readings for DU4

    Pin1: 0.0v
    Pin 2:1.24V
    Pin3: 3.3v

Pin 2 is off for you. It doesn't look adjustable. DL6 and DCE11 are on that same 1.24 volt line. Make sure those are ok.

Getting that picture was trickier than I thought it would be. Things sure do look different when under a magnifying glass. I also figured I would put DU1 on the list as well being that I left it out

    DU1
    AZ7805T
    E1
    718G70
    PIN 1= 11.86
    PIN 2=0
    PIN 3= 5.06

I also rechecked the voltages on DU4 and nothing as changed.

Can I get good closed up pictures of this DU4 so I can see how the 3 legs are connected?
    Looking at this picture: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/attach...6&d=1454392483
The DU4 looks to be an Adjustable 1117.

First I just want to say hats off to budm for his thread /tutorial for Voltage Regulator (LDO) testing, thats good reading right there so thank you for that. So I tested the voltages then checked then rechecked just to make sure. As far as the part number I did the best I could that wasnt an easy task. There were some that had a backwards C so I will use " ) " in its place. If there are any you want me to recheck please let me know and I will get right on it. Also if the format is incorrect please let me know. Thanks

Next step will be to check all the DCV on all 3 pins of the 1117 series LDO regulator ICs on the main board to see if they are all OK OR NOT.

OK, that is why the backlights are not ON, you still do not have BL-ON signal from the main board.
So 'B' is the BL-ON pin on the power supply board.

Budm I just checked and rechecked then checked again it is indeed .03 and funny you mention pin 12 on the master because I was checking on this earlier and that voltage is 0. The voltages for the both master and slave are as followed

    Master CN1
    14 lamp st =0
    13 vbr_b=1.3
    12 on/off=0
    11 vbr_a=
    10 gnd=0
    9 gnd=0
    8 gnd=0
    7 gnd0
    6 gnd=0
    5 vin=25
    4 vin=25
    3 vin=25
    2 vin=25
    1 vin=25

fuse shows continuity and has a voltage of 25.2 on both sides

    Slave CN101
    1 VIN=25.5
    2 VIN=25.5
    3 VIN=25.5
    4 VIN=25.4
    5 VIN=25.4
    6 GND=0
    7 GND=0
    8 GND=0
    9 GND=0
    10 GND=0
    11 NC=0
    12 NC=0

fuse shows continuity and has a voltage of 25.5 on both sides

Correction, one of them only show 0.03V? for sure?
If I remember it correctly, 'A' is for the BL-ON, and 'B' is for Dimming control.
Pin 12 on the MASTER Inverter is the BL-ON, you can check on that pin to make sure the signal does get to the inverter board.

Vizio M65-E0 No Picture, No Sound
    by ggil44
Hi I inherited a Vizio M65-E0 that isn't working. It must have been dropped on the corner because I found that the infrared circuit had a capacitor with one end broken off of the board and some green corrosion around the plug to the main board. I re-soldered the capacitor and cleaned the corrosion well and tried turning the M65-E0 on and I was successful. My problem is that while the back lights come on and appear to perform local dimming there is no picture or sound. It kind of looks like you are looking at the TV through a very dense fog, where changing the input on the remote will change bright...

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and

    by Ierwin
    Hello everyone,
Ive got a UE60KU6079 on the workbench that is giving me some headaches trying to troubleshoot.
The previous owner stated that there had been white dots on the screen which from the description sounded like some lenses fell of the backlight LEDs.
He had opened the TV from the back, trying to get to the backlight, supposedly gave up, reassebled everything and gave the TV to me.
I expected the worst like ripped COF cables or a cracked panel but could not find anything like that yet.
Anyway I still fully expect that there has been something seriously damaged...
