    Hi,
Can you by any chance elaborate what kind of failure?
Since yesterday I've been facing a problem of horizontal black stripes of pixels on the same TV.
    Thanks.

Horizontal black stripes? How many and how broad are they? Could be a panel failure.

        Re: sony kdl-46w5500 t-con

Sorry for the late response, I was out of the country.
The stripes start from the right side of the panel and span around 30% horizontally.
They start black from the right side and gradually retain their intended color.
The stripes are every 6th line of pixels.
The stripes are only 1 pixel high.
I would have posted an image, but not sure if these details will be clear from my photo.

        Thanks for your reply.
        Sinan.

I tried uploading a photo of the right top corner, I hope this clears things up a bit.

The menu is also affected - so I see the lines over the menu and not only over HDMI or tuner content.

If the menu is affected its probably 9/10 the panel itself. I have a Samsung doing this and its a bad panel and it will only get worse.

Sony 8K XBR-75Z8H White Screen Vertical Bars Tcon Code. Help Needed🙏
                    by Daren87
                    Hello everyone,

I've recently been given a Sony 8k Z8H. It's got a white screen with two vertical black bars. At times it's given me the 5 blink Tcon code. Testing voltage on the Tcon I can see some low or missing voltage. I've done a basic visual check of cables and the COF. Not seeing anything obvious. The original Tcon seemed to have good caps until turning it over. On the bottom I found maybe 10 caps with both sides of the caps shorting to ground. I thought ok these caps and likely other components on the Tcon are shorted so let's try a replacement Tcon. I just received the...

                    Sony KD-55X9000F TCON Issue
                    by thelankanguy
The TV shows a black screen with no image.
TCON ribbon connectors were disconnected individually for image and there was no half image even.
Later both ribbons were disconnected and TCON voltages were tested.
12V, 3.3V, 1.8V were seen present but VONE signal reads 0V.
There is also a short to ground in this circled inductor.
Is this a TCON issue or something else ?...

                    Sony KD-55AG9 TCON?
                    by bbrain
                    Hi,

I have this problem with my Sony 55' AG9.
                    It flashes 4x.
I have found the service manual, and seems it is the TCON.

Before I buy a TCON can someone check the vid?

                    Thanks in advance!...

Hi everyone, newcomer in this forum, i watched tons of video from Sorin, i like the way i calmly explain things, i did quite some console repair, i am not that bad at micro-soldering, but troubleshooting where the issue is, is definitely where i still have progress to make. Usually i was able to fix the console because the failure was obvious, or because i was able to find someone with similar measures on the board and was pinpointing what to replace that way.
Nevertheless, let's say, i don't come as a total beginner.
I have this old laptop, which suit perfectly my needs, with the...

Sony KD-65x8500b - bad Tcon or panel?
                    by rimwall
Hi, hoping for some views on this one which I've not come across before. The TV generates an image that has 12 noticeable bands across it. The image is still there and accurate, but the colour (or perhaps the brightness) changes gradually across each band which creates a noticeable 'step change' at the edge of each band. Given it's a 4K TV with 2160 rows of pixels, I'm guessing the 12 bands correspond to 12 gate drivers of 180 rows each. If this guess is right, then perhaps:
                    a) all the gate drivers are malfunctioning the same way (which seems unlikely), or
                    b) the Tcon board is malfunctioning,...
