Re: Z50PJ240 Powers on then back off clicks but no picture
How you doing. Bro' I have a little problem with my ysus board. And I looking the type of this component. I send to repair and the technician re-send me the board without the number of component are : d21, q22, q23, q26, q28, q29Ok so upon further inspection I noticed I seem to be missing a capacitor on this board c105 ga102 ga517 it's in the location right next to where the long flat white ribbon connector is corner from the long aluminum/chrome heatsink is. you can see in this photo the capacitor is shown. Does anyone know what size that capacitor is ?
q14 and the part number of ysus is ebr63039802.Leave a comment:

Re: Z50PJ240 Powers on then back off clicks but no picture
I believe I might have found a good picture online and figured it out to say 150 on the top of the resistor. After extensive research I believe it means 15 ohms. I looked in my resistor container and the very first one I pulled out was brown, green, black, gold. I am going to use this.
So I have learned that the codes on resistors is almost exactly like the color codes. The numbers usually stand for the color. 0=Black, 1=Brown, 2=Red. So my code was 150 which is also Brown-Green-Black.Leave a comment:

Re: Z50PJ240 Powers on then back off clicks but no picture
I got the board all back together and there was a lot of repairing. Now all I need to do is to add that resistor and it should be good to go. I covered it with liquid electric tape because some of those wires are so tiny just touching them will break them. After I install the resistor I will put another coat on.Attached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

Re: Z50PJ240 Powers on then back off clicks but no picture
Need help. I shipped the Y-SUS board EBR63039801 and USPS busted it during shipping. So I got it back and the board is cracked right where a resistor goes and the resistor is gone. I can't find a schematic for this board. Does anyone know what resistor goes in location R413 on the bottom of the board?Attached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

Thanks Tom66, Do you mean from the buffers on the bottom to the panel ?Leave a comment:

Re: Z50PJ240 Powers on then back off clicks but no picture
Reseat the connector on that part of the bottom of the panel, horizontal axis of panel. Bad Z-sustain cannot cause this. Do not reseat while power plugged in.Leave a comment:

Re: Z50PJ240 Powers on then back off clicks but no picture
Also I placed the old Zsus board back in and turned it on and it was all greay again and distorted so I'm certain the old Zsus was failed as well. after placing the new zsus back in the black bar has colored lines poping all over it but I can see the cable menu bar under those colors ? Hope that info helps in pointing me in the right direction . I'm so close here ... Just want my TV working. ThanksLeave a comment:

Re: Z50PJ240 Powers on then back off clicks but no picture
OK so I got the new Ysus board and Zsus boards in today and replaced them. it was immediately better than the previous Ysus replacement and had a normal looking picture until it got to the center of the screen and there was some distortion. then it went away on it's own after a minute. then I come back to the TV about 10 minutes later and there is a big black bar down the center of the TV. if I turn the TV off when I turn it on it flashes multi colors on that bar until the picture comes up and then it's just the black bar. any ideas as to what would cause this ? Bad Zsus replacement board ?

Re: Z50PJ240 Powers on then back off clicks but no picture
For info, https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=32580Hey TW thx for the info. I must have jumped the wrong link or something cause it was showing $122 and 0 in stock on the ysus but that wasn't the green choice. I pulled all the buffer boards out and not a single spot that even looks close to like anything would have happened to them . I guess for now I'm gonna wait on the replacement Ysus board and am also gonna order a ysus/zsus and buffer board set from your link. It's worth the $100 to get this going again. I had previously checked the zsus board and saw no signs of any damage to that either however we all know not all problems are easily visible. I will certainly post back once I find the culprit.
Ysus only did not fix this one, sounds like the new ysus may havew popped.Leave a comment:

Good one, full marks to Tom though, he sussed this one out I think. I just wanted to cover the sustains just in case a dead short possibly did any damage.Leave a comment:

No doubt, good idea to give it a break, most silly mistakes happen due to fatigue.Leave a comment:

Now months later set powers up,backlights light ok,no picture. 12volts missing from fuse on tcon. 12VA on power
supply is 19 volts. Changed D9100 again, same, 12 volts measures 19. Am I looking at a power supply or mainboard

by sergio_avHi, I'm unexperienced with troubleshooting and I'm not sure how to proceed with this laptop.
Motherboard is A5WAH LA-B991P I think, i5-5200U and nvidia 820m.
When I received the laptop, CMOS battery had 0V. I took it out and all the testing has been done without a CMOS battery and without the main battery plugged in, I haven't been able to see physical damage, burnt or missing components with a quick visual inspection, and no shorts were found.
Laptop charges the battery, powers on when ON button is pressed when powered from charger and when powered from the battery, but...1 Photo -
by KYBOSHSaved this beast from the landfill this weekend.
Manfactured July 2013 in Mexico.
I love working on plasma TVs.
Its been a while but I was lucky enough to find 2 this week.
The TV powers on and stays on but no picture. Havent checked for sound yet.
No bulging caps although the insides are pretty dusty and the boards are discolored from many years of high heat.
Will start troubleshooting tonight.
