Re: panasonic TC-l37x2 clicking power
When the TV starts up, is the red light on solid or does it blink? In other words what you see for the LED does it appear normal for TV to startup.
On our pansonics red is standy, flashes green on startup and solid green when the TV is on and working.
What I'm thinking is a bad or shorted backlight cct. I had a 19" Pana, it would just continually try to start and recycle it self but no fault codes, just kept blink green LED.
I found a shorted H-fet transistor that drove the CCFL transformers. Once I removed the short and isolated the leads to the fluros, it started up normal, had sound and using a flashlight I could see an image.
It only ran for a matter of seconds and shutdown to a 1 blink error or backlight error becaused it did not detect the backlight.
maybe you have a similar issue.

Re: panasonic TC-l37x2 clicking power
It's EEFL which is very similar to CCFL but has external electrode which gives it a longer lifespan.Last edited by tom66; 10-19-2013, 09:15 AM.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: panasonic TC-l37x2 clicking power
All I can suggest with my only experience is the backlight cct, It's just a theory, I could be wrong. I only responded because it sounds very similar behaviour to my 19".
Q7801,7802,7803,7804 may be shorted?
I tinker with plasmas mainly.
Good to see someone else has some experience with your symptoms , hope it works out for you.Last edited by tw2005; 10-19-2013, 07:04 PM.

Re: panasonic TC-l37x2 clicking power
I got my main board for around $42 on ebay. But even down to your experience with holding the power button down and seeing the optical light act accordingly, all exactly like my problem before replacing the board.
Obviously I can't say with 100% certainty that is your problem, but I can tell you that is EXACTLY how mine was before I replaced the main board to fix the issue.
Good luck!
