Sony Bravia KDL-46VL160 Turns off after a few seconds

I just picked up a 46" Sony Bravia KDL-46VL160. It turns on for a few seconds,
the backlight turns on but there is no actual picture.
When the set turns itself off the red light blinks 14 times.

I'm just getting started troubleshooting this one, I've read it could be a backlight tube,
maybe a bad transformer or a TCON issue.
What are your thoughts to check first?

    TCON or HFR (12X 14X)
A communication error has occured from the TCON board. If the LVDS cable is not defective or loose both conditions require the replacement of the LCD panel.
14x = HIGH FRAME RATE ERROR
    12x = TCON ERROR

At least check the fuse on the T-CON board.

One more thing I should mention. When the power cord is plugged in it automatically turns itself on, the backlight comes on and then it turns itself off.

I unplugged the LVDS cable going into the T-CON board and then the backlight stays on and the tv doesn't shut itself off.

Is there a bulb/tube that can be replaced? Or is the whole lcd panel just bad?

Re: Sony Bravia KDL-46VL160 Turns off after a few seconds

Since the backlights stay on, then it is not inverter or lamps problem. The error already indicate the problem with the T-CON board.

I am having similar problem with 46v5100. TV does not turn itself on when plugged in, still turns off and backlight still comes on for 2 seconds when LVDS cable is disconnected with no disturbance in image.

No error blinks. TV still turns on for same amount of time and clicks off with only main and power connected.

Anker SoundCore 2 Bluetooth Speaker Turns Off After a Few Seconds (Possibly Firmware Issue?)
                by zklgfs
                Hi,

I have an Anker SoundCore 2 (A3105) that I saved from the trash (well, I guess there's a reason why it was supposed to go into the trash...). The problem is that it always turns off after a few seconds (sometimes it stays on a bit longer, between 30 and 60 seconds, but it still turns off). The power light turns on and the bluetooth light starts blinking, but both abruptly turn off again. The "turn off sound" is still played after the lights turn off. Sometimes, it also loops the on-off cycle several times without me pressing any buttons. If I connect an AUX cable, music...

Lenovo Legion 5 high fan spin turns off after 34 seconds
                by twonk9098
                Hi all,

I have a Lenovo Legion 5 with a Ryzen 7 series CPU and RTX 3070 GPU. My issue is that it turns on and all seems fine except after a few seconds the fans spin up high and the laptop turns off after 34 seconds.
I can get into bios and can even boot and login to Windows however after 34 seconds no matter if Im at the bios screen or booted into Windows it will just turn off.

I have managed to run HWmonitor and the temperatures of the CPU and GPU are fine, I can also touch the heatsync which is warm but not hot.

I have tried a few new bios but exactly...

LG 23MP55HQ LED Monitor turns off after a few seconds or flickers.
                by Rick_1234
                Good evening, gentlemen.

I have a problem with my monitor. It turns off after a few seconds or flickers. Shining a flashlight on the screen doesn't show any image, so I guess it's not the "2 seconds to dark" I read in the forum.

To turn it back on, I have to press the power button twice. Then after a few seconds it turns off again or flickers. See video.

Sony TV model KD-65XE7005 - only Sony logo for 3 seconds
                by mauda
I'm currently working on repairing a malfunctioning Sony TV model KD-65XE7005 with the mainboard 1-981-926-21. I would appreciate your assistance with this issue.

Upon powering on the TV, the Sony logo appears for approximately 3 seconds, after which the backlight remains lit, the screen remains black, and nothing else happens. The TV consumes around 55W initially and then drops to 35W. The indicator LED remains solid white. It doesn't respond to the remote control. When attempting to update the TV using a USB dongle, the dongle briefly flashes but nothing else happens.
