White screen on my sony bravia KDL-V3000 lcd

Hi There,
I got white screen on my sony bravia KDL-40V3000 lcd when I turn it on. First you can see the menu but very, very bleached. In some seconds it turns all white and two red led start blinking continuously. In other instance it stays white screen with barely visible menu/functions but after changing the sources or program in the menu it turned completely white with continues two red led blinking. If I remove t-con the screen turns dark(not black). Could it be t-con or those symptoms are from damage main-board?

well you could try disconnecting the ribbon cables from the t-con board and go to the panel and power the TV up see if your if it down with the red lights blinking still

it could be at tcon board it could be a panel there's no tellingif the panel has it that short it will probably take out the t-con board and then send it error code. But considering the fact you get a picture you could try disconnecting the panel and then connect one ribbon cable at a time and see if the problem persists

Sounds like Gamma voltage ref problem.

Thank you for your suggestions. I did try to connect only one side of t-com ribbon cable and with one side of ribbon cable connected the screen stayed white and with other went dark(not black!). I have ordered new t-con and we'll see...

Just got t-con & after changing it the picture went perfect!

But unfortunately if I change in the menu from digital to analog the screen goes again white and two read led start blinking. After turning TV off/on manually(no respond from remote) and in menu change back from analog in to digital pic is good.
Also after connecting my laptop to it via hdmi picture is great until I shut down the comp - screen of TV goes white with two blinking red led. Can anybody give some creative idea how to solve this problem?

Does this tv have a network port? Im not sure but if it does you may be able to firmware update through the menu

After replacing the T-con I have found the second hand motherboard for GBP 12,- and it work again perfectly!!! Thank you all for your help & ideas!
