I don't trust those readings. If it were truly over 500V then the Y-sustain would be severely damaged - suggest you check your probes and location of testing.

I will. I have a better tool at my office I will procure for an evening.

Am I measuring the correct points?

        Re: Lg 50pv450

I was wondering if anything has been resolved from this diagnosis? It looks like the thread just ended. I'm researching an only sound, no video problem from my LG 60PV450 and was reading from this thread interested on how it turned out. Thanks for the update if possible. Maybe I'll just start a new thread...

Hi, I'm a newbie who also has a LG 50PV450 w/ this same problem.
I'm also curious about a resolution.

It shows what I did to fix my tv. It turns out to be a bad main board. Good luck.

Sorry for the delayed response. Finally got a good meter home. World of difference that makes!
So, with the ysus unplugged from the panel and Zsus, I dialed in the voltages spot on. Waiting for the caps to dissipate before reconnecting. Just excited to use a good meter.

Still the same result. No white fuzz even when not connected to a video source. The screen is not completely lit, then half lit, then off.
