Hi guys,
I've come across the same situation a few times.. Where the TV powers up but the display is not right.. PSU is good, and I need to work out if the signal from the main board is bad or if the issue lies further down the line in the tcon / drivers / panel. Would it be possible to plug the LVDS cable in to another panel of similar size? Or are all the LVDS outputs wired differently?
For example, I currently have a Philips Flat 14inch Flat TV. I have a 17 inch monitor screen that accepts the same LVDS cable. If I was throwing caution out the window and just plugged it in to this screen what is likely to happen?
(I know we're normally meant to post exact model/makes etc but I'm looking for general troubleshooting tips, not a solution for this particular problem)
thanks,
