    Sharp LCD LC-52D64U Reappearing line

Hello all! Hope I can get some help with this one.

I got this tv from a friend who was going to throw it away. One of my other friends said it could be an easy fix. The tv has a 4 inch wide line that phases in and out randomly it seems. Sometimes it looks gorgeous, then after a while it starts to stutter in the 4inch wide vertical line, eventually it will get worse then completely black, only in that line. Sometimes it is there as soon as you turn it on.

I replaced the tcon board, but it came back after a couple hours of use.

    Any ideas are much appreciated!

This is probably a tab bond problem. The symptoms can vary.

The tab in question is likely the one above the area that is faulty.

Be very careful when working on the tab bonds! The panel is very delicate and easily damaged.

Anyone know how to take these apart to get to those tabs? Seems like there is so little information on Sharp tv's.

So I tried the solution in the YouTube video with little success. When this line starts to show putting pressure on the tabs did not improve it at all.

The problem is probably thermally dependent then. If you can get hold of a hair dryer, try heating up parts of the TV while the fault is not present. If the fault comes back when you heat a particular area, turn the TV off for an hour or so, make sure there's no line, then try the area again to verify. I'd focus on the t-con, main and top of the LCD panel, a few minutes at a time should be sufficient.

Sharp LC19SB24U; red vertical line comes and goes
            by valvashon
Yes, this is a very old Sharp 19" but I would like to fix it if possible. As you can see from the attached picture there is a single red vertical line.
Yesterday when I turned the set on, it was there for about 30 minutes then disappeared and did not show up again (set was on for another 3 hours or so).
Today it was not there when I powered the set on, then appeared after about 15 minutes. Set has been on for about an hour and it's still there.
From what I have read I'm guessing that this might be the t-con board and not the display itself as it does come and go.

Samsung UN50TU8000FXZC shows thin horizontal green line when warm
            by cubytus
            Hi to all,

I was given this TV, an entry-level 4K 50" set. Some have criticized its lack of contrast and relatively poor colour rendering, but for my needs, it's very decent.

I reset everything to factory settings, but this line keeps on fading in and out when watching a streaming channel from the Tizen firmware. Interestingly, it only happens when TV is warm, after about 1h45 of it being turned on.

Watching a movie from an external source doesn't trigger the line as easily (needs 2 hours), and from a normal viewing distance, is hardly noticeable. It...

Vizio E701i-A3 fixed but now has red vertical line
            by otaku_nut
Hi all, I tried searching the site for answers but I'm a bit over my head understanding some of what might apply and what doesn't, so please be patient with me. I used Freakaftr8's fix to remove the left driver board to restore picture to a black screen with sound Vizio E701i-A3. After doing so, I now have a large red vertical stripe down the center of the screen. The fix did require getting another t-con board from online, I ordered it before I knew about the mosfit fix for the old t-con board. I have tried cleaning the cable connections to the t-con board. I swapped the cables going from...

            Kogan - KALED65XU9220STB - Blue Vertical Line
            by TrueSword88
            Hi all.

I have a Kogan 65' LCD Panel with a thin blue vertical line (top to bottom) on left hand side of panel.
The line just happens to coincide with the end of COF and start of the next COF (attached).

The line is permanent no matter what I've tried. I've tried pressure testing the panel (top to bottom) and all over, I didn't notice any difference with the line, either temporary or semi-permanent.

Also tried unplugging all flex cables, cleaned with isopropyl then re-inserting to no avail - line remains.

            Hoping to fix...

Running Line Voltage and Integrating LED Pods - Automotive
            by FALKLAN
Howdy everyone! I hope all is well where ever you are!

I'm attempting to integrate a couple of LED pods into an automotive reverse lamp circuit. The problem being, while the vehicle is running there is a 8.5v current present on the reverse lamp power wire. Needless to say is that all LED pods and lights dimly illuminate while the 8.5v is present, so the LEDs are always powered on while the vehicle is running. When the vehicle is shifted into reverse, the voltage changes to 12 volts.

I am uncertain how to convert this line into a switched 12v output line for the LED pods....
