Re: LG 47LC7DF-UK Sound but no Video

Any one of those device with less than 50 Ohms readings should be removed and tested off the board. If you look at the board, there are resistors, diode connected to the Gate pin of the MOSFETs, those components need to be checked to see if they tested open or shorted. The 8-pin IC P/N is also needed to get the spec sheet and locate the supplier for it. You need to look up the spec sheet of those devices on the list you posted so you will know what they are. If it is too much works, then you should consider buying the replacement board instead.

I didn't mean to come off as needy and i will get my nose to the grind stone to find the specs on those MOSFETs and that 8-pin I/C

Can the resistors, diode be tested on board and are we testing the same way for resistance? also i think i know what the "resistors, diode" is but i included a picture to double check to see if we are talking about the same item

This is a list of the items i come across on my list that seem to measure under 50 OHM

      5. I still cannot find a P/N

The resistors/diode network are SMD components, if you look at the Gate pin of the MOSFET #5, #10 you will see those components, you can test them without removing them for now using resistance testing.
#5 does not show as shorted out. 7, 10, 11 should be removed.
You will have to find all the P/N otherwise you will not be able to get the replacement parts.

This is a small list of the replacement pieces

Couldn't find this item on Digikey and the only sites that i could find it on were overseas but i did find it on ebay.

#5 was the same as 10 it was just covered by a heatsink. My soldering equipment isn't that great so i will wait til my brother gets here to de-solder the ICs because he helps me. also i have some Thermal paste but its for computer CPUs and i would need another tube of different thermal paste for these ICs right?

Re: LG 47LC7DF-UK Sound but no Video

Thermal compound for CPU will be fine. So you should take all the resistance reading once you remove all those suspected bad parts. If any one of those parts have insulation sheet on them, make sure to put them back on.

The CPU thermal paste is very pricey is there some other paste you could recommend? and if the pieces are suspect shouldn't i replace anyways?

We need to verify that the low resistance is caused by the suspected parts not other components that are connected with the suspected parts. Always verify. You can use some other heatsink compound.

You should use good 40~60 Watts iron so you will not damage the pads and traces, also use lot of soldering flux.

I have been fiddling with this thing for what seems like forever so i have to ask is there a special way to take off 5 and 10 because 7 and 11 were a breeze but 5&10 seem super glued to the large aluminum heat sink, and yes i removed the screws.

After messing with this thing i figured out was pussy footing around with it and those 5 & 10 weren't glued they had just developed some sort of suction but now my back is killing me so i will go ahead and test tomorrow. Everything is removed that was suppose to be so that is good.

I was just about to go to sleep and i remembered how pissed i was at my soldering iron so i was eyeballing a Hakko FX888D and i read good things here just would like to know if you have any sort of objection or would refer something else?

Don't mean to tipple post but just wanted to note i ordered the pieces because all the readings were the same off board.

and the fuse but when i plugged the TV in it had the red led then when i turned it on via side panel the green led flashed the load up 5 times then the PSU popped at which point i unplugged it ASAP.

Are any of the parts i ordered wrong?

I will be letting it cool down for a little bit and have everything unplugged on the PSU but would like to know what the next step should be. I really don't want to go the route of replacing the board because i think that would be giving up.
