    Polariod FLM-2601 No picture sometimes

I have this polariod which original problem was no picture at all just sound.

Took it apart and noticed two bulged caps, ESR checked all remaining and they all had high ESR so went ahead and replaced them all.

TV now turns on and works great, however I've noticed maybe once every three times upon power up the backlights flash then turn off, if you turn set off and back on they come on and stay on fine.

TV is a pain to take apart, lots of screws so currently it's all back together so can't provide pictures. Was wondering if this might be a capacitor problem that I missed? Only one I didn't replace was big one on primary side.

I'm having the same issue. Replaced bulged caps and still have to power off and back on to get backlights to work 2 out of 3 times.

Anyone know what it could be?

Can you both get some Pictures of the Main boards and power supplies so that we can have a look and see if A: we can spot anything and B: ask you to point out a few things...

I have fixed a few Poloroids where the Voltage Regulator for the LVDS had gone bad... but wont know until i see the board design

My tv is currently assembled. If I get around to it I will. This thing is a pain to disassemble.

What were the symptoms of a bad regulator for the LVDS? Curious how you figured that out too. Thanks

The set would intermittently lose picture when it had warmed up.... and then power down.... If i left it for about 1-2 mins it would power up again fine until warm, then start the same process....

I tested the V Reg with the Upside down can of Air Duster as a Freeze spray when it was warm and started to be intermittent before it powered down... This made it work ok while i was spraying it but then a few mins later it would go again...

Replaced the Voltage regulator and it worked fine....

next time you take it apart... I know they are a pain... the poloroids all are.... If you can take pics and post, i should be able to point out the Reg that i replaced...
