You need to be more descriptive but in most cases horizontal or vertical fixed lines are not repairable on LCD or plasma displays. There are a few exceptions. You can't usually (except with a very fine probe and oscilloscope), the only way to be sure is swap the buffer.
Caution: Most buffers pulled from these newer cracked screen TVs are bad! (B450, C450 etc with single piece of glass panel.) Test any board before installation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51SZsfH60EY
The above test can't be used to see if a buffer causes horizontal lines, but in 99% of cases it does not. The panel is bad almost always. It is a very common fault with these sets. I just started fixing 4k TV few months ago. so I am still learning a lot
I got this tv from friend complaint is ghosting or horizontal lines on image.
never saw the original symptom but I took the tv back home. the funny part is that after bringing to home, the tv worked fine no issue for 3 weeks.
then it started to show the ghosting white image.
I started using the tape method, but this tv does not have a T con board and it has only 1 ribbon cable from main board to the tv panel.

Hi, I have a Sony XBR-65X750D that has horizontal lines at the bottom 6 inches of the screen. These lines appear to be every other line because the picture is still quite visible behind those lines. The lines appear all the time with a few other lines above and below the 6 inch level blinking on and off at about 2 second intervals. I'm not sure if this is a panel issue or power supply/main board problem. I did replace the T-Con board without any change in the problem. Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated. 5.5 year old 85 inch Sony Bravia X950G started showing gray horizontal lines across the bottom of the screen and the picture shifts slightly vertically when it happens. The lines sometimes get bigger/smaller vertically and bounce back. See the video for the problem. It seems to be happening after it warms up after an hour or so. Happens regardless of source. Right now there's nothing but power cable connected and it's happening. I just acquired this 3D LED yesterday and it has horizontal lines on a little more than half of the screen. When I first turn it on it has thin black lines going across that makes the image look serrated, and then shortly after patterns of thicker red lines fade in. If I turn it off and right back on it will reset to just the black lines and the red will again fade onto the screen.
I initially thought tab bonds, but flexing the bezel makes no difference, and the fact the image sort of resets after cycling power is different. I haven't opened it up yet to actually test applying... -
I have samsung 65", i bought it last january 2025 2nd hand, and last month got this problem, flickering with horizontal lines. any inputs if this is Motherboard replacement or the LCD tcon, can someone help me what to do, i saw in YT, someone says that to cover the flex connector of the unit.
