I know this is an old thread but I thought I would just update it, you can use the megmeet mlt668t power supply in this model it will power the tv fine and they are in my experience much more reliable as the original pihongs, however you will need to do some rewiring the get the connectors to fit I repaired one with them psus and all works fine.
Pictures showing the mlt668t's installed and backlights running, yes there is a lot of rewiring to be done but as long as you wire it fine and secure the wires (I used hot glue) these will run the tv fine, the shame is that they get very hot this tv could do with active cooling heat was probably what killed the original pihongs and probably kill these with in a short amount of time. KDL-60EX500. Comes on fine, sound is fine, backlights come on. Blank screen. Already tried reset POWER/VOL-. Anyone else have this problem? Possibly bad T-Con RUNTK4244ZZ or panel? Could main or power supply cause this? There were 2 blown 560u 35v on power going to backlights but they were still working fine. Thanks for your help. -
Got a case of something new weird at work. There is an old 2nd gen Intel i3 in an old “Pizza box” shell that has a small form factor power supply. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures and model number off it.
Anyway, I get to work and get to look at this computer. Standby LED on the PSU is on, but the computer won't start. Hmm o.k. take the battery out of the main board try again, nothing.
O.k. then… unplug the power supply from the main board and put in a full size ATX PSU (yeeeesss! Exact that blown Powerman IP that I fixed a while back), plug it in and the old...

Hello guys. I have a problem with a PNY XLR8 GAMING RTX3090 graphics card. The problem is that it displays and works fine, but the fans don't spin at all. The problem occurred when someone else removed the fans in order to clean it and broke one of the fan connectors. He replaced it himself and after that, it wasn't working anymore. I guess he damaged something else in the process. What i have done so far: I found 2 capacitors next to the connector that were in a bad shape, he must have touched them with his tools - they weren't shorted, but i replaced them with similar ones from a similar card....04-12-2024, 06:54 AM -
I have this TV set that I spent a long time fixing it.
I finally found a shorted SMD capacitor near the plug from the PS at the main board. It was shorting one of the main voltages (can't remember which one)
I removed that capacitor, and as it has another one in parallel, I left it with only one, checked it and it seemed to work fine. The solder near that capacitor was really delicate as I pulled apart one trace so I prefered to not mess much with it after I had to air solder one small thread of copper

I have a customer machine on my bench right now that's stumped all the techs, so I decided to come here for help.
The specs are:
MPG Z590 Gaming Carbon Wi-Fi (MS-7D06)
Intel core i9-10900kf
2x16gb Corsair Vengeance kit
BIOS ver is E7D06IMS.1B0, from 6/12/2023
The machine was brought in because it would not POST after a GPU upgrade from a GTX 1030 to an RTX 3070. The customer also brought in the original GTX 1030, as well as a GTX 1060 that the machine also wouldn't POST with.
