    Help with Samsung LN55C630 black vertical lines

    Hello, I am looking for some help with my 3 year old Samsung LN55C630 TV. Recently it has started to display either black vertical lines or maybe its a change of resolution.

    This started popping up once every few days while watching the TV. Now this occurs every time the TV is turned on. Cold or hot, length of time on seems to have no change in how it is affected.

    If I turn it on first time for the day the lines will be there for about 5 minutes and then they go away and all is good until it is turned off again. Once that happens they appear again and last slightly longer.

    These lines also appear through any type of signal. I have my cable box which goes into the TV via HDMI, my PS3 over HDMI and I use serviio to send my movie library to the TV over the ethernet port and when the lines are on the screen they appear over any input.

    Here is a picture of what I am talking about.



    If anyone has any ideas or has seen this before I would appreciate your help!

      It is a common fault -- t-con board according to several other users with similar problems.

              Thanks for offering your assistance with this. I'm an electronics enthusiast with moderate level of competence (have a decent lab with two power supplies, microscope, DSO, hot air, good iron, can competently work at a component level on SMDs, design and solder own PCBs etc).               Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines.               hi guy my friend gives me this tv a 50tu8070u that has no picture at all, sound ok, backlights ok. i tought it was a bad panel, but the tv has many horizzontal lines green, i tried with the tape method but nothing change, only the green lines disappear but still no picture.               Hi

              Asking for a friend.

              I'm used to black vertical line in otherwise good image - probable solution is a rubber to push and tighten the COFs bonding.
              but here its the opposite !

              TV has new T-con = same issue
              A missing panel voltage would have global effect

              So , what should one do ? how can I find where the fault is ?

              I posted about this previously but didn't get any response, and I have some troubleshooted a bit so I have more info.

              The screen is full of horizontal "gaps" or lines that distort the picture badly, and after about 10 seconds of powering it on the screen starts to fill with red vertical bars that take on the horizontal pattern. After the screen filled with the red bars, they instantly vanished and then slowly started to reappear. I initially thought it was tab bonding failure, but after getting down to them and pressing each one I find zero change in the picture. I went...
