Samsung DLP "white dots"

Samsung HLT5687.

I just noticed today one single white dot that flickers on a black scene and appears on all inputs. Put a black image on my xbox and saw only one single flickering dot. Is this the white dot problem?

Ill probably just get another one from the dump when this one fails, urgg i really like this tv.

I believe Samsung had a class-action lawsuit about this raised against them for this problem, may want to see if that is still available.

Out of interest, have you personally replaced the bulb in this set?

Its an LED set so no, but i did have to replace the red LED card when i found the TV. I did not purchase the TV I found it at a dump so would i still apply for the samsung class action thing

You might have to wait for a few more dead pixels to show up, they may require purchase proof but also might not.

I think gift applies for my situation, but i noticed in all the class action PDFs under HL-T it does not include my HL-T5687SX. Thanks for all the help btw!
