    I tested the orange covered resistor/transistor? I believe. says <---VZB-----> right under it where you had pointed out exactly.

      I can't see it clearly, but it's probably a cap. If it's a cap you'll want to place a probe on each lead to measure voltage across the cap.

      Here are your voltage specs from the label:
      -Vy = -190
      VSCAN (VSC) = 130
      Set-up = 100 <-- (the first "100" listed - don't worry about this voltage)
      Vzb = 100 (the last "100" listed on the far right)

        OK I'll try to get that done. I'm outa here, post either tomorrow or late tonight. Thanks again, feeling like were getting somewhere.

          Hello again, I'm back, work had me out of state for a couple weeks. I did manage to get the tests done

          VZB = 100
          VSCAN = 130
          VY = 190
          set up = 190

          Looks good from this point.

            Where did you test SET_UP voltage?

              The top of the Zsus board where it says test.

              Also noted when back there, the download cable is loose on the control board, this wouldn't have any issue with the screen would it?

                The voltage you most likely measured on the Z-Sus was the VS or some other value, not Set-up. In any case, your voltages on the PSU, Y-Sus, and Z-Sus seem fine. Please try to keep the terminology consistent and not make assumptions, as it can get confusing.

                Edit: A loose control board cable can cause picture issues. Did anything change when you re-affixed the cable?

                  I will see if I can fix the cable tonight. I'll give and update. Looks as if the female part of the connector is part of the board. It says download, so I didn't know how important it was.

                    I disconnected the control board and powered up the TV. No changes, same faint screen. This is the same board that had the download cable come loose. I don't know if this would be it, but I think it is worth a shot buying one. Thoughts?

                    Looking closely at the small download cable, it looks as if it was just glued on the the board. Ones i have seen for sale don't even have the connector on. Is there a test for this, should I ad a picture for viewing to make more sense?

                    Thanks

                      RECAP Please some guidance.

                      TV has no sound or screen. You can see a faint snow.

                      When I turn on the TV, the red light turns to green, while powering up, it blinks green 20 times, then stays green

                      PSU has all the correct voltages leaving and entering the ZandY sustain boards.

                      Disconnecting each buffer board, half the screen turns to brighter snow effect.

                      The control board has three of the four LED lights lit up. D3 D4 D5, D2 doesn't light up.

                      The led light on the board you plug your cables into is lit.

                      I have replaced the control board and Z-sus board.

                      There are no bulging caps.

                      There is a slight hum from each sus board.

                      I could use help for the next step before I part this thing out, getting frustrated because I don't have an answer for it yet. Maybe this recap can start the next step.

                      Thank you very very much.

                        IMHO, the only logical replacement left is the main board. A pic of the control board issue you mentioned would be good. Also, please post a pic of the screen when the TV's turned on.

                          I'll buy the main board. I did look online E-bay, but the same connector is off as mine. i'm thinking the same thing, cannot get sound or anything when plugging stuff into it, but it does have the led light on. Thanks for checking, and ill update.
