    phillips 42pf9766/79

The TV is a Phillips 42pf9766/79 Chassis FTP 2.2a aa
HELLO ALL About a month ago we heard the occasional sharp crack comming from the set i dont realy know if it was comming from the set or though the speakers then one night the sound went off shortly followed by the picture the set went into protection mode .
Now when i press the start switch i get a blue L.E.D on the front for about 3 seconds then the red led flashes and the set goes into protection mode and shuts down .Onthe PSU THE 3 GREEN leds go on the top2 go off after a short time leaving the bottom one on .The red fault LED on the left hand side of the PSU does not come on . I took the PSU board out of the set and inspected all the Caps ,could not see any distortion or leakage but the transformer with a board id V3T 8005 with a tag KE 0447A had a slight discoloration like it could have been hot at sometime The voltage on the silk screen =VS 175 Volts my board is 9.1
Vset= 173 Volts my board is 0Volts Vscan=60 Volts my board is 0Volts VCCS =18Volts my board is 132 volts.. The other voltages are as per silk screen .I disconnected xand y main boards and found no change to the voltage at the test pionts Any help with this fault would be greatly appreciated Cheers Shayn

I saw your post in another member's thread, so I decided to respond here so as to not hijack that thread. The closest service manual I could find is this one: http://www.toms-service-manuals.com/...&Search=Submit

Hello all i downloaded toms service manual ftp2.4 a-aa but could not find any info on the transformer with a tag of KE 0447A which is the only part on the board i can see with any signs of damage, and that is only slight .i have checked the board with a flashlight ,no swolen or bulged caps arcing or heated components ,APART FROM A slight discouloration on transformer V3T508 .When i disconnect each board in turn i get no change in the voltage reading at the test points on the psu ..With my limited knowledge and not seeing any change in voltage when boards are disconected i think that it must be a p.s.u problem any ideas would be welcome.. Cheers Shayn

          HP Envy x360 13-bf0013dx (i7, 8gb) ipa32 la-m024p rev 1b short near PJ1802, type-c not switching to 19 volts

Laptop is HP Envy x360 13-bf0013dx, hp website link, it's an i7-1250U with 8 gig onboard ram.
          Platform: ipa32 la-m024p rev 1b

Originally you'd plug power supply into it and it would take up to 1.2 amps and then drop to 200 milliamps and then go back up again to 1.2, staying all the while at 5 volts. Pressing power button would results in power LED blinking amber 3 times. 3.3 volt rail, 5.1 volt rail present, main power rail 8.8 volts. Power button test pads near EC chip 2.7 volts.

I found a short on the other side:

HP 15dy-2021nr wont power on mystery volts
          by supermattch
          Hi everyone.

I am diagnosing my personal laptop, because it wont power on and no leds light up.

At the dc-in there are 8 pins, 1 and 2 shows healthy 19.66 volts. The next three are ground, but the 6th one shows .283 volts. This is strange to me, it should be 3.3 or 5 or aome volts not 0.283v. As I am new to this, I would like some guidance. Please someone advise me on what to check next.

Oh the boardview and schematics I am using is for a similar model as I cannot find the proper one anywhere. Quanta DA0P5HMB8F1 rev F. Nowhere on the internet.

PS5 digital / No Power / No Beep / Good power supply
          by MisterAIL
          Hi everyone,

Brought a non functionnal PS5. Apparently only a bad PSU...
          No beep, nothing.

After some tests i found this :
          - PSU is fine (12 volts stable)
          - 12 volts line is shorted
          - DA9065 was fried, F7003 also => Replaced both of them, short is gone on 12 volts line, no dead short anywhere else.
          - By the way, nothing change. No signal, no power, no beep.

Mesuring all rails with my workbench psu (12 volts input)
          - 0.00 amp drawing
          - 12 volts, 5 volts, 2 volts, 1,15 volts are presents (suppose new DA9065 do is...

          Fishing bite alarm drains battery
          by Mcfeetroy
Good day to all. The bite alarm drains 9-volt Krona batteries. Current consumption when switched on is about 50 mA. I wiped the board from oxides, I will attach a photo (on the board there is a j3y transistor and a 7533 stabilizer, the microcircuit is erased = (the 3.3-volt stabilizer heats up weakly. I replaced it, nothing changed. I unsoldered the microcircuit, the consumption disappeared. The resistance on the pins of the unsoldered microcircuit from the point clockwise is more than 2 megaohms, the 11th leg is presumably ground. I warmed up the microcircuit, the consumption does not change....

Dead Dell Latitude 5420 not receiving 20 volts from USB-C charger
          by BTubbs200
          Hello,

          Dell Latitude 5420 P137G
          Board: LA-K491P REV A01

I have received this laptop which was described as "does not power on or accept charge." Battery shows no sign of charging when charger is plugged in, nor does the board show any signs of life when battery is unplugged and charger is plugged in. No light from the LED at all or any other indications of activity.

Board seems to have no shorts, all power rails are fine and show high resistance.

When charger is plugged in, voltage is present in 3.3V rail but absent in others....
