teac lcd3255hd stopped working after a pop was heard dont know if it was from the speakers of set ,,just a update ,,
i warmed up the psu with a heatgun and the menu display came up for a short time,when i press the power off button i get10 or 12 red flashes i have no idea what thi code can signify can anyone please help cheers himinshed

hello all it never rains but it pours yesterday computer today tv
a teac lcdv3255hd tv stoped working we heard a pop, dont know if it came from speaker or set but screen went dead no picture or sound. i have taken off the back and cant see any distorted caps or blown ics or circuit boards that have been hot does anybody know of any known issues with this tv.. it would also be handy to have a circuit diagram to check voltages the tv is 3 years old and not worth the cost to take it to a service centre hoping for some help

ihave a hp lattitude 6000 that wont start it turns on for about half a second and then shuts down blue leds show up and sometimes the fan runs for a very short time ,ihave reseated the gpu with with a hot copper block and reseated the cpu but no luck . the power supply tests ok also a new battery ,,any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated cheers shayn -

HELLO ALL About a month ago we heard the occasional sharp crack comming from the set i dont realy know if it was comming from the set or though the speakers then one night the sound went off shortly followed by the picture the set went into protection mode .
Now when i press the start switch i get a blue L.E.D on the front for about 3 seconds then the red led flashes and the set goes into protection mode and shuts down .Onthe PSU THE 3 GREEN leds go on the top2 go off after a short time leaving the bottom... -

Hello all i downloaded toms service manual ftp2.4 a-aa but could not find any info on the transformer with a tag of KE 0447A which is the only part on the board i can see with any signs of damage, and that is only slight .i have checked the board with a flashlight ,no swolen or bulged caps arcing or heated components ,APART FROM A slight discouloration on transformer V3T508 .When i disconnect each board in turn i get no change in the voltage reading at the test points on the psu ..With my limited knowledge and not seeing any change in voltage when boards... -

hello all my chassis is ftp 2.2a aa model s42ax-xb01 product code bx1a0508 344594 i have looked on toms service manuals and cant find one i have checked the power supply with a flashlight ,cant see any problems .have diconected boards one at a time no change in voltage readings i am adding a picture of the power supply ,have circled transformer KE 04477a which i think may have been hot but i have no data to test it any sugestions on where to find a service manual would be great cheers Shayn...Leave a comment:

hello tom by the way thanks very much for all your paitence and help just a update on my model its a phillips 42pf9766/79 plasma not a /99 as i first posted.. yes i disconected x-main & y-main no change in the voltage on
vset 0 volts vscan 0 volts vccs should be 18vdc but is still102volts dc .. could it still be a transformer on the psu looking forward to your comment cheers shaynLeave a comment:

hello all considering that the voltage on my psu is up the put eg: 71.1 volts on VS instead of175v & 0volts on vset &v scan with 102volts on the vccs instead of 18v do you think a new psu would correct my no start problem cheers himinshedLeave a comment:

Hello Tom after some web research i think the phillips tv model s42ax-xbo1
FTP2.2a aa has the chassis manual 3122 788 14860 which i am unable to locate any help to locate this chassis manual would be very much appreciated

hello all i said in my original post that 3 green caps lit up i ment to say 3 green leds lit up you can see them on the left of the ac input and fuse, the transfomer on the left of the board looks as it may have been hot at some time

hello all i have a problem with a phillips 42pf9766/99 plasma with a chassis model ftp2.2a aa About a month ago we heard the odd crack from behind the set then the other day the sound went off shortly followed by the picture.Now when i try to switch on the power switch i get a blue light for a couple of seconds then a flash on the red led and set shuts down .When turned on the 3 green caps on the board all light up for a few seconds but the top 2 go out after the red flashes leaving the lower one on .. My first thought was bad caps in the power supply but after a visual check i dont know all look... -
